Need guidance!! Hi,
I am planning on putting on some free parties this summer in the wiltshire, berkshire area. However i want your opininons on a couple of matters that are concerning me.
1) Sound system: I have a gemini active system which consists of two 100 watt sattelite speakers and a 200 watt sub combined with 2 omnitronic 500 watt 15 inch speakers with a 1000 watt amp. Will this be adequate sound for a small venue?, these may seem stupid questions but i am not in the know at the moment and im trying to gather as much info as possible!
2) Music types: i am a trance dj first but i also play hard house old skool harcore, hardcore and a bit of drum and bass, is it good to have multiple music styles played on the night rather than just sticking to one.
3) Venues, my first partie is giong to be at a royal legion, (okay this probably seems lame but it is my first party, it's cheap to hire out and i want to give people a taster and also for me to gain some experience). Obviously living in wilts i have endless venues in the wonderful countryside and i am going to try and sweet talk some farmers into letting me use some land.(fat chance i know, but it's worth a try!!).
4)Dj's: My biggest concern is djing quality. i am not paul oakenfold or tiesto but by the same token im not a bad dj. My question is, do people going to free parties expect top notch dj's and mixing skills or will they settle for a decent amateur dj who is pretty good

Romania, Croatia, Hungary….parties this summer Heading to Romania, Croatia and Hungary this summer(July 15 - August 7)and I'm trying to find out what parties are going on. I've discovered that there is a promoter in Split, Croatia who puts on some events including beach parties. He's told me that Carl Cox, among others, will be there this summer.
I've also seen some stuff on line about this party called Cinetrip, which taks place in Budapest, once a month. The party is a combination of techno and old movies which are projected on the walls of this 400 year old Turkish bath!!!!! Sounds wild...
If anyone has any further info or stories to share please post!

the imminent Junktion… Just thought I'd let you lot know what I've been up to....making a site dedicated to getting projects together..Thats it...This forum stuffs great,and I'm sure you could make some good contacts this way...but I find myself getting lost in all the chit-chat...which is why i think we artists (random /mad / or not) need a dedicated site where you can simply leave details about a project idea,what you need be that musicians (ok we're all artists) painters, djs ( yep, all/any type of artists) and a contact address.This then gets posted on a noticeboard where all can see and decide if they wanna get involved or not...Anyway, its in its final stages...Let me know what you think although its a pretty basic idea...they're usually the best ones..Cheerz!

BRAIZEN All u guys on here into trance and hardhouse just wanted to let u no bout a litte event called BRAIZEN, its held at the pink punters gay bar in milton keynes once a month. A great litte place to go if ur short of money and want a cheep nite and are fed up with the commertial crap milton keynes has to offer!! I went last friday and was well impressed the tunes where exellent and it puled in a great crowd of people! The backdrops where also exellent (n e of u no backdrop jen?? she did them) n e way if ur in the area at the write time get ur self down there its a well good nite! If n one has already been or gets along please let me wot u think.

Nice randomers :D Hi there me and my fellow freeparty friend are in a bit of a predicamont, our driver has suddenly decided that he doesen't want to drive to freeparties n e more coz he was constantly crashing it and all that!! we havn't been in absolutely ages I meen I think the last one we went 2 was the uk tenival!!
someone out there must be feeling our pain coz we live in milton keynes and have had to keep goin to the sanctuary!! but its just not the same I meen u cant sit round a bonfire there next to complete strangers and just chat to em about the lovely scenery! n e one out there in the milton keynes area willing to give us a lift!! and meet some more random up for it freeparty people!! obviously we'll chip in with the petrol money and shit!!
