PhD Student looking for participants Hi everyone,
My name is Kieran and I'm looking for people who have used novel psychoactive substances (NPS - aka 'research chemicals' or 'legal highs') to take part in my PhD research. I am using the term NPS very broadly to also include pharmaceuticals which are used off-prescription (either for medical or recreational purposes), synthetic drugs such as mephedrone, methylone, methoxetamine etc and other analogues of traditional illicit drugs, and herbal substances such as mescaline, salvia etc.
The research aims to investigate the relationship between mainstream and alternative media (such as this forum), people's use and attitudes towards NPS, people's attitudes towards drug policy in general, and people's use and dissemination of harm reduction advice and techniques.
All participants are guaranteed anonymity and I take your privacy very seriously. None of the information you provide will be shared with third parties etc. There is a possibility that the research I am doing could be published in academic journals but all names will be replaced and all data made anonymous.
The research consists of a 5 minute survey as well as interviews. If you would be happy to take part you can complete the survey here: Novel psychoactive substances, harm reduction, and media (more info about the research is on the survey page) and leave your email address at the end if you want to take part in an interview. Interviews can be done in person, or over Skype video/voice call, or over email/PM as well.
