Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii NZ judge orders 'odd' name change
A judge in New Zealand made a young girl a ward of court so that she could change the name she hated - Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii.
Judge Rob Murfitt said that the name embarrassed the nine-year-old and could expose her to teasing.
He attacked a trend of giving children bizarre names, citing several examples.
Officials had blocked Sex Fruit, Keenan Got Lucy and Yeah Detroit, he said, but Number 16 Bus Shelter, Violence and Midnight Chardonnay had been allowed.
One mother wanted to name her child O.crnia using text language, but was later persuaded to use Oceania, he said.

Bat in bra Abbie Hawkins, a hotel receptionist, thought her mobile phone was ringing when she felt vibrations coming from her clothes.
But she later discovered the tiny creature tucked away in the padded pocket of her underwear.
As staff and colleagues crowded around, Miss Hawkins, 19, produced the frightened bat, which was the size of her hand.

UK : East : Essex couples compete for pigmeat prize.. As well as getting a side of bacon (basically half a pig) they are triumphantly carried through the village by people dressed as yokels. This has been going on for years..

Happy couples take home the bacon
Four couples have been victorious in convincing a jury of strangers that their marriages were not on the rocks.
The Dunmow Flitch Trials were held in Great Dunmow, Essex, on Saturday and take place every leap year.
The couples need to convince the jury they have never wished themselves not to be married to their partner.
The winners were Michael and Janet Denny, Jeff Dotts and Erin Albers, Graeme Fearon and Amanda Horner and Des Raynor and his agony aunt wife Claire.
The winning couples received a prize of a side of bacon.
The jury is made up of "six maids and six bachelors" and the couples on trial must have been married for at least a year and day.
Graeme Wade, who is on the organising committee, said: "It's great that such a unique tradition is kept alive every four years."
"The Dunmow Flitch Trials are talked about around the globe and it's a bit of history for everyone associated with Great Dunmow to be proud of."

UK : Wales/Cymru: Welsh man keeps pet ram in Cardiff house A huge ram has made himself at home in his rescuer's house after resisting all attempts to return him to farm life.
The 22st (139kg) sheep, named Nick Boing, was rescued by David Palmer as a new-born lamb three years ago.
But despite efforts to reintroduce Nick to his natural habitat, he prefers the home comforts of a Cardiff suburb.

UK : Wales/Cymru : Church minister dresses as tramp and squats his church doorway Thats quite a good stunt TBH.... :laugh_at:
Flock shocked by 'tramp' minister
A minister posed as a tramp and gatecrashed his own service to teach churchgoers about "acceptance".
The Reverend Derek Rigby donned a wig and some torn clothes and surrounded himself with lager cans and syringes in the church doorway on Sunday morning.
Most of the congregation at the Trinity Methodist Church in Prestatyn, Denbighshire, ignored the intruder.
The vicar said most were "embarrassed" by their behaviour when he finally revealed himself during the service.
The former police officer had told the congregation he would be late for Sunday's service, and only informed one church member of his true plans, in case anyone decided to dial 999.

Noah Adam built the ark at Stonehenge Shipyard in 2348 BC (see timeline). Salisbury Plain Coal Prospect ditches had been explored (excavated) and cursed. Digging for shallow coal had ceased after Cretaceous / Carboniferous limestone differences were learned at Stonehenge Mining College athletic field. LORD Fellow of Woodhenge cursed the land because his Prospect was barren of shallow coal. The Healing Stones (Bluestone) had failed and were returned to South Wales Coalfield.
