I would like to start a post on all the very best drug related books you read of course by best its your personal opinion that counts.

My favorite book has got to be William S Borroughs – JUNKY is a great read about a man in the midst of opiate addiction.

That one(Junky) and Naked Lunch by the same god old Bill…on the fun side; Fear and loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thomson and Cosmic Banditos by AC Weisbecker, the first is common known the last is about a ganja smuggler in exile up in the colombian mountains and at the same time 1 on 1 beginner lesson in quantum-mechanics…I was ROFL several time when i read it, litteraly..

Junk, the one extraslim mentioned, is good. and i quite liked Go Ask Alice, but i don’t think i’ve ever read a book about drugs that was a literary masterpiece.

Most of the ones I’ve read are about psychedelics…

Storming Heaven (Jay Stevens)
ACID Dreams (Martin A Lee & Bruce Shlain)
Politics of Ecstasy (Timothy Leary)
Sexs, Drugs & Magick (Robert Anton Wilson)
The Scientist (John Lilly)

There’s loads more but these are the ones that stand out.

Just reading Albion Dreaming: A popular history of LSD in Britain – pretty interesting stuff.

Go ask Alice
A million little pieces (however some controversy as to if its real biography) / my friend lenard
Addict
through a glass brightly
the heroin users
leaving dirty vegas
and err.. cant remeber any other names, but sure theres loads more
