You’re not wrong there, the book is really much better then the film, and considering how good the film is, that’s saying something! I’m a massive Irvine Welsh fanboi, you know he played the part of Mikey Forrester in the film?
Also Skag Boys was made last year and is a prequel to the Trainspotting book, Porno is the Sequel. The film Filth is not directed by Danny Boyle like Trainspotting was, so not sure if it’ll live up to the standard of Trainspotting (what would be a hard thing for even Danny Boyle to achieve!), but hopefully it will. I mean the story line’s already there and is amazing, so you’d have to fuck up really bad to make a shit film out of it lol.
Although a lot of Irvine Welsh’s books have common characters that pop up, as a lot of the stories based in Edinburgh are all based around an interlinking selection of people, Filth isn’t a squeal and isn’t supposed to be one afaik.
