Well when i have been reading about them i have come across this about removing them:

    1. You can cut or shave your head if you don’t care about your hair, this is the Fastest way to remove the dreadlocks.

    2. Cut the deadlocks until they are about 3 inches long and then soak the rest of The dreadlocks in VO5 conditioner and comb them out. This will leave you With about 4 or 5 inches of hair.

    3. You love your hair and want to keep it. Just soak the dreadlocks in VO5 conditioner and comb them out, it may take a couple hours but you will get to Keep your hair.

My hair dreads by itself unsupervised :annoyed: will remember that tip – thanks SL

the one about cutting them short then conditioner and combing . . .

it takes bloody hours sitting in the bath, a very good friend and bottles of conditioner

and the end result isn’t hair like you used to have its a mad bad fizzy nightmare mess :annoyed:

its a pain in the arse and easier and better to cut it off short an start again, trust me

It’s an experience everybody should live one day…:weee:

i dont do much to mine…they dont honk…i even got commented on how they actually smelt nice the other day they thoughtd id washed em but has been a month or two since i last washed em…

dreads rule…minimal effort… (provided you know a girl with a crochet needle who will sort out the fluff from time to time!) mine are getting to a dangerous length now tho…

some old crusty once came up to me at a rave an said “i used to have dreads like yours…they were so long i went for a shit in the woods + decided it was best to chop em off…” :S

i got a while before its gonna get that bad.been toying with the idea of the lock off… tho its not the right time of year for it really!

lets see some dready pics! gotta love a lushious lady with locks 🙂

    hahah lol.

I cut my dreads off a couple years ago, totally regretting it, they would be so long now. I cut my hair again last year, but ive grown my hair for a year now and its like just down to my nose. 🙁 Im growing my hair loads till i dread again. I want long dreads. I only cut them off because i thought i’d get a good job and work well. But that was wrong, anyway loads of dreadheads have jobs anyway. I should of known that. Lesson: Dont change yourself for “the man” or anythin actually.

    Nice tunes btw amen-tal

soon as i quit my scummy supermarket job im dreading my hair, ive got a load of synthetic dreads i braid in, but theyre a pain in the arse to put in and take out and dont look half as good as the real thing

I just chopped my neds off… got a bit bored/restless….
been contemplating it for about a year now…

i thought they were pretty clean…tho some of the 5 year old bits were developing some (suprisingly allright smelling) mouldydirtgunkgooo…

it feels strange my head feels all floaty…

i dont yet know weather or not i regret it…will keep you posted :crazy_dru
