  • was wonderin if anyone is plannin fence-jumpin glade and if it is easy, i really wanna go but it’ll have to be fence-jump for 2 reasons…

    1. i’m real skint after glasto

    2. this

We have a policy of no teenagers at the Glade. The reason for this is because we feel that teenagers can be difficult and often will not be accompanied by an adult. However, with children under 13 that will not be the case. So children 12 and under are very welcome and can come in for free with their parents/guardians. 13-17 are not allowed in at all. 18 and over must have a valid ticket. Anyone who looks in any way that they may be under 18 will be asked for ID and if they do not have or are under 18 (or over 12!) will not be admitted to the festival…

wont go into the whole stereotypin thing it’s there call, but it means it’s hit-and-miss if i buy a ticket…

so yeah, basically just wonderin how hard fence-jumpin is and anythin about it really

    “anyone who looks under 18…………………………..”

my mate was asked for ID last sat in a pub and is ………..

I know someone who is on about planning too, they were going to get a ticket still but jump for the hell of it :you_crazy

hmm, given that everyone suddenly seems to be being checked I wonder if that venue owners are jittery as the smoking ban approaches, as they expect the same cops and licensing officers who would look for underage drinkers will be enforcing the ban?

When i got ID’d in the club it was because they had been caught out by allowing someone in who was underage and the woman at the supermarket said that the other stores send in younger members of staff to see if they get served. Apprently someone got sacked a few days before for it so i dont blame her really.

ive never understood underage drinking, why should the place/worker get fucked?, surely the person buying it is breaking the law and should “go down” for buying drink illegally, just as a shoplifter would get screwed for knicking stuff

But you are serving the alcohol, you should be trying to stop them drinking. I think its to stop you being lax, if your job is on the line you are going to be a little more cautious about who you serve.

thats pretty good point, my small brain hadnt thought of that actually

Think its a bit harsh not letting teenagers in personally. Some teenages I know are much more responsible than alot of adults.:you_crazy
