      To be honest i never really saw many walking in with crates of booze, the gates get fairly slack throughout the weekend there though, so u can keep going back to the car and getting more (thats if you have a car), if not then…..

        this is what they say: (dunno how strict they will be, i’m sure you could fill up plastic bottles with spirits and whatnot)

        Alcohol Policy

        At Glade we have a number of well stocked bars serving fine wines, to ale, to cocktails to spirits and a good cold pint of lager.

        If you do want to bring your own alcohol you can up to 10pm Thursday. After this time you will have to buy alcohol from the bars as we are a fully licenced event.

        This is what you are allowed to bring with you:

        [SIZE=+0]OR 6 X CANS OF BEER AND 1 X BOTTLE OF WINE[/SIZE]

        [SIZE=+0]NO SPIRITS[/SIZE]
        [SIZE=+0][/SIZE]
        [SIZE=+0]NO GLASS WHATSOEVER SO BRING WINE IN BOXES OR PLASTIC BOTTLES![/SIZE]

                just get there on thursday when its got the open gate like policy on alcohol and take in as much as poss … if not … their bag checking isnt exactly on the same lines as airport security … if they do find it … nevermind …

                as PP said they pretty much saying dont take the piss …

                me and me brother went on the friday last year he had a ton of bottles in his bag … they security guy who might i add was a meaty chap just said “havent got any bottles have you?” to which my brother replied “no …” to which the barn door replied “ok, go on in” :you_crazy thing that makes me laugh is he was clanking like a crap thief at threshers …

                        I reckon its gonna be fine, perhaps if they wont let you in with your van and all that you could say your gonna drop it off at your mates and stash it round the corner somewhere. I dont reckon they’ll be that gay about it though from what peeps have been saying. Maybe they just have to say it for legal/licensing regs and all that shit. 😉

                              As anyone seen the new venue photos they’ve got on the website? The grounds look well-recovered from last year and beautiful! I’ll feel guilty for trampling all over it this weekend…
