The way people are towards drugs made me try Heroin… No sense whatsoever… DON’T DO HEROIN OR CRACK, THEY’RE SUPER BAD…

Yet people openly sniff powdered coke, mephe, ket, mdma etc and they are filthy substances. Though the worst is Weed… man, I swear there’s a ‘SECRET CHURCH OF WEED’ I’m not aware of and people worship it and will die to defend it even though the only drug addicts I know that’re still going strong for a good 10+ years on a drug is cannabis and they’re the biggest wasters of them all.

Least the people on drone actually leave the house and socialise with other people and get stuff done…

Everything can be used in moderation, just giving what I’ve seen and experienced.

If you used Heroin instead of MDMA when you used MDMA then I can say as 100% fact that MDMA is filthy for your body and mind in comparison.

I remember when I used to take MDMA… The lows… oh the lows… The cravings were more horrible than any heroin i had too… for example if i didn’t get MDMA or other people were on it I’d be actually moody and sulky and not happy…! dafaaq… That stuff rinses your happy chemicals to fuck!

But yeah I have never done it much since i was younger. done it 3 times in about 4 years.

I’ve lost friends to od’s, 1 this year. Any opiate is a dangerous game. I don’t know anyone who stays recreational for long. It will get you in the end, trust!

Don’t IV, don’t sniff and do not mix. It’s not possible to OD if you smoke, you will fall asleep before. If you’re hedonistic then yes this is not a good thing to be taking.. and like i said the high can deceive you as it changes at times.

    Overdose Smoking Heroin?
I go to some length in my book Heroin User’s Handbook to show that the casual user is best to ingest heroin by smoking. One of the main reasons that I believe this is that it is very hard to overdose by smoking heroin. But it can be done. I knew a man who died as a result of smoking heroin. His death was due in large part to the fact that he was drunk when he smoked the heroin. Had he not been drunk, he probably would not have died. Just the same, had he not smoked the heroin, he probably would not have died.
    Don’t Mix Heroin and Alcohol
Before I go on, remember the number one rule of heroin use: Never, never, never, never, never use heroin with alcohol. That means, don’t drink and then use heroin. Don’t use heroin and then drink. Don’t drink and use heroin at the same time. If you die, you can’t read Heroin Helper, and that just isn’t acceptable. (You might be able to come up with some other reasons not to die; so don’t mix heroin and alcohol.)
“Snorting” Isn’t As Safe As You Think
People think snorting is safe, but it isn’t. The problem is that it takes a long time to feel what you have snorted. So you can snort way too much before you even begin to feel the effects. The same goes for IM and SC injection. It’s like setting a time bomb.
    IV Injection Has Different Problems
IV injection is dangerous for another reason: you feel what you are doing quickly, but you can do an enormous amount all at once. I suppose this wouldn’t be a problem if you felt it right as you did it. But there is a 15 – 60 second delay – more than enough time to ingest enough to die.
    Why Smoking Is Safe…
Smoking is the safest way to ingest heroin because you are always “up to date” with the effect of the drug. By smoking, you ingest a small amount of heroin. You feel the effect within 10 – 20 seconds (yes, faster than an IV injection). So under most circumstances, you will pass out before you can smoke enough to overdose.
    …But Not Completely Safe
There are other ways to die from using heroin, however. You could smoke a lot, pass out, vomit, and suffocate. Or you could pass out in the wrong place and be murdered. Or you could pass out, knock over the candle you were using, start a fire, and burn up.
    Be Careful
There are no guarantees. Heroin is not a particularly dangerous drug. It isn’t Rice Krispies®, and even Rice Krispies® can kill you. By using smoking as an ingestion method and always using with someone else, you greatly reduce your risks.

There are facts about heroin that are so contrary to common knowledge that most people would simply not believe them, regardless of how well documented.
It is common knowledge that all people who use heroin become junkies.
All junkies are slow-moving, dim-witted, bottom feeders.
Heroin is an extremely potent drug that drug addicts use as a last resort when none of the other drugs will do it for them.
The millions of controlled heroin users cannot dispel such knowledge. Nor are the countless examples of highly successful junkies of any help. And you can forget the endless pharmacological studies that show that heroin’s effects on the body are fairly minor and its effect on the brain so subtle compared to cannabis, that most regular pot smokers can’t even feel it.

    From that same Heroin site…

Weed gave me major anxiety issues when i used to abuse it.

tbh the aftereffects of smack if it’s not just me growing as a person or whatever is the opposite of anxiety, i really am not anxious much at all.

the worst and hardest part of trying to kick all substance will be the k heads which aren’t going away and i know a lot of them… 10 pound a dose for p0ly… 15-20 pound for a good dose. (that’s sober then doing k) and i’ll feel like shit for awhile after :/ yet my brain says DO IT whenever i’m near the crap.

    fuckin’ ket man!!

but yeah tbh i’m still just annoyed at the stigma and i know it’s never gonna change as the washing has been done if you get what i mean 😛

its not the drugs themselves what are fucking up people but the drugs culture. selfish people what don’t give a shit about themselves, their friends and family and wider society as a whole are a risk and burden no matter what drugs they do, even the so-called “nice” drugs. NL has the right idea by having only two simpler classifications instead of 3 complex ones but if that was transferred to Britain it might result only in more problematic use due to our different cultures, especially as we won’t pay the taxes needed for youth services and value kids/young people less.

I think the difficulty with comparing heroin (opiates) with other substances is one can get physically addicted to it, (not even taking into consideration the psychological effects) and this is usually the downfall –

(ie – this is how a lot of people I know who’s main substance of choice was crack – started to use H to come down and ended up with a nice little (or large) habit.)

When people are physically addicted and they dont want to get ill, this is where they can then loose their personality and do shit that they wouldnt have thought they would have done before.

but this also happens to tons of people who are addicted to alcohol,

I think I said this in your previous post p0ly – it is usually the individual – not the substance – if people are using to the level of addiction then their substance use is usually a symptom of their distress not necessarily the cause. And they are usually using it to self medicate their distress,

And the main substance that causes most criminal behaviour, nhs treatment, etc is for alcohol related things – if I am not wrong and this is not just for those physically addicted. And then there is tobacco……. but because these are legal – it rarely makes the headlines as it wouldnt sell ….

EDIT- just seen GL’s post – he said it much more succinct!!

One important thing I picked up whilst learning Dutch is you learn a country’s culture along with the language – it means looking upon everything with the mind of a young lad, almost like being back at high school and college. Now I can read a lot of “youth” forums and media – so I also learned how people are taught to conduct themselves in Holland. That is a really big factor as to how a country with as much booze and tobacco as well as hard and soft drugs does not have half its population claiming dole, or in hospital with dread diseases or killing each other or committing suicide – on the contrary it remains a very successful and stable North European nation in spite of the economic depression.

However there is an article from 2009 (just as the economy started to falter) about young people there becoming excessively hedonistic and materialistic (which I have noticed independently from the things I have read). And that may yet impact on the tolerant/well-run society over there.

also the drugs in use are switching to cocaine and heroin from MDMA in spite of the good pills being everywhere and testing/advice being available and lots of more positive activities like a still tolerated music scene.

3 articles (these are in Dutch) close to each other, showing an increasing tide of street heroin use and diversion of fentanyl pills for the use of addicts.
