Still can’t understand why you would want to take stimulants whilst just in a townie place; would only make me paranoid and feel bored/boxed in (I like exploring and having mad conversations with people as much as I like dancing/listening to music)

Got absolutely spangled on MDMA one time in a bar,I hated it,got out very quickly and headed for the hills where I found the atmosphere much nicer
    :))
I have a couple of beers maybe once a month, never get drunk it turns me into a twat, not violent or anything just twatish.
Do like the taste of a nice cold one though.

nice 1 mate! madness how much better i feel for not drinkin during the week. ONly prob is i feel slightly depressed now, not sure if this is the norm or not.

Gonna b lookin at the amount of drugs i take nxt.

Neither of those options. I drink very occasionally and then regret it so much. Alcohol sucks:crazy_diz :crazy_diz

If this poll is correct, then nearly 25% of people who’ve taken part are alcoholics:crazy_diz :crazy_diz :crazy_diz :crazy_diz

don’t worry – normal people who take no drugs at all often feel depressed on Tuesday, as it is a long time before the weekend.

I worked as A Civil Servant for 4 years with a mixture of straight-heads and devout religious people who never took drugs and some did not drink – they also complained about Tuesdays….

90% of working people are in jobs they hate. The other 10% who enjoy their jobs have to seriously worry about office politics and backstabbing because if you enjoy a job its usually something creative or enjoyable where there is competition and someone else always wants to be in your place…

Those who are unemployed may feel free but are always worrying about money or lack of it

You unfortunately cannot escape the boring bits of life or the hassle; but at least they make the good bits better.

Incidentally two of the finance staff in my previous job (two middle aged blokes) ended up trying to cheer themselves up by finding an on-line hat salesman (they were both quite bald and it was winter). Not only did they find one, I think one of them bought a fedora in the end from there.

i think if you define alcoholics as people who have trouble keeping their drinking under control or going without alcohol for any length of time this is true:hopeless:

my father is an alcoholic and has been in denial all his life; a view society has made easy in its tolerance of social drinking – if he doesnt get a drink every day he twitches until he does and even though the doctor has banned him from drinking, as it could kill him the next time he does it, he still does it:hopeless:

lets face it Agent Subby, if they were using heroin and not alcohol we would call them all junkies:you_crazy

Mines the same, wont admit it though,”just a social thing” he says.Doc tells him No,but he still carries on.

it just sad that they cant do without it and would rather drink [literally risking death with every glass in my old man’s case] than survive to enjoy their lives and families:you_crazy

You callin’ me a :hopeless: junkie?
Full Power to a new start on a subutex reduction plan. No cravings for the nasty brown stuff either:wink:

absolutely not – you are dealing with your addiction and facing up to it:bounce_fl:bounce_flraaasorry if you thought that was what i was saying – my bad way of putting it:hopeless::hopeless::hopeless:

i am merely pointing out that had they been using an illegal drug like heroin or crack we would be calling THEM junkies but because their drug of choice happens to be legal they are not perceived that way – rank hypocrisy of the first order IMO:you_crazy

at the end of the day alcohol has been banned [the prohibition] and then legalised it again when they realised it had not worked out like they thought it would – criminal gangs supplying the needs of a large number of people for alcohol instead of a nice dry country:you_crazy why do they persist in pretending that its ok to drink just because its legal:you_crazy

I find it funny how most people who use other drugs don’t like alcohol. I was once the same! You just need a good binge drinking session to get you back onto it. Alcohol is just as fun as any other drug!

Funny you say that. Last year when I was 13 and drank for the first time, I LOVED it. Then I became more and more of a mess and ended up eating a $hit ton of benzos, then opiates and barbiturates, NOW, I can’t stomach alcohol. Odd huh?
