But he can under doctor patient confidentiality the Doc can’t say anything to anyone about it.. and when it comes to drugs if ur worried its always best to tell the truth…
is he actually unwell?
if not then he is very unlikely to have any problems now. If K is making you ill it is pretty obvious and usually manifestests itself as illnesses of the stomach and kidneys, particularly stomach upsets and cystitis.
If he does feel ill all he needs to do is go to the GP and say what his wrong with the parts of his body…
he could even admit to previous drug use (doctors won’t grass you up to the cops, it is against their ethical rules) and has every right to be helped by the NHS, although some NHS staff can get a bit judgemental with recreational drug users…
Maybe he could says he is embarking on a new healthy diet and a programme of exercise and wants to be checked up before he does so to ensure he is fit for this..
To get the relevant areas checked out he could say he had some pain passing water? or pain in the back where the kidneys are located.
TBH I think he would have noticed it by now but if he is in any doubt he should go see a Dr [as af says they are bound by a confidentiality agreement if he tells them they may not discuss it they cant without opening themselves up to being sued:you_crazy:you_crazy ]
someone please correct me if i’m wrong but isn’t it only committing an offence if you are in possetion of a drug not under the influence, let alone being under the influence weeks before you declare u had taken it. as far as i know he’ll be fine telling a doctor what he ingested, in fact if the doctor has any sense in him he’ll be glad your came for the check up! Also even if the doctor was to break the patient doctor confidentiality thing then there’s still no proof that ur mate actually took the k.
I’m not a doctor or a man of the law tho so someone correct me on the above if i’m wrong, hope he gets better soon 🙂
you’re right, you should be able to tell your doctor anything within reason. i dont know what hed say if you murdered someone, but ive always been open with my doctor about all the drugs ive done. they play a big factor in your health, so its foolish not to tell your doctor what drugs youve done as he wont be looking for the acompanying signs, or he might misread your symptoms.
the actual confidentiality guidelines for doctors practising in the UK can be found here..
