Well as long as drug use is a “moral failing” in some eyes of those in power we’ll get this.
It’s only a moral failing according to the people who decided it was a moral failing. People were doing just fine until laws were enacted changing their status from fine to criminal, then the problems began.
What surprises me about this in Canada is that marijuana is pretty much legal so I’m confused that this canabinoid was cut into heroin, might have something to do with covid and no fentanyl being around as that’d surely be the cut of choice.
I don’t think politicians can hold the moral high ground on anything…
Canada seems much more permissive than most countries right now so it’s a mystery to me also.

Adulteration can be done safely. Why dealers would cut an already dangerous compound with the dumbest thing possible is beyond me though. The bastards that do this are the ones who deserve locking up.

Synthetic cannabinoids are very cheap especially considering how far they go. I’m estimating that the compound used here would be enough to treat 50g of herb with just 1g of compound and that would still be very strong, you’d only need less than 50mg of that for a pretty strong effect. You couldn’t pay me enough to vape it pure
Understood, it shouldn’t be going into heroin ever, that’s the confusing part.
Sorry I was meant to add that even though it’s cheap it still has a cost way above some inactive and safe cutting agent. I’d love to know what motivated the person/s to cut it with this but I fear the answer is going to be as dumb as I suspect.
