Really fucking well actually! It was a wicked night- it’s a small bar but really good vibe.
It was a bit strange actually. I put a Jungle mix on DJmixtape in 2006 which has had 450 odd downloads. Apparently that mix has done the rounds in Reading quite a lot- so I had quite a few people coming up and saying- “you’re Mr Binge, looking forward to your set”, etc which was cool. Put the pressure on slightly though!
I basically played the new mix I’ve put up and it went down a storm- 40/50 odd people having it. (I even got a cheer at the end!)
So yeah- I’ve been grinning like an idiot all day- even though I’ve just finished and I’ve been working since 9am!
Really good vibe, loads of safe people and some great sets from the other DJs.
It’s great as I’ve been in Reading all winter but work so much I haven’t had a chance to meet people. Quite looking forward to the summer now!
I’m playing again on the 27th.
