I’ve always seen the levels of protection granted by copyright as so ludicrously over broad that they hinder progress much more than they guarantee a creator an income but I’m still a little surprised it was so serious in the 70’s…….

interestingly documentary anyway ,

I watched the first half hour, it was very interesting seeing the arguments of the artist defending the right to use copyright tracks

One argument that was finely said was :
A sampler making a song using track parts of music artists is like there are photographs using a cam and painters painting
