    NO!

How can ride that beautifully crafted Italian design classic lambretta. then buy that , that THING! 😥

Right now, do realise that 1000s of MODs are turning in their grave ?

    ^^^

    Your so wrong

1.)The scootering scene was around well before mods and well after, scooters really came into being as the peoples transport after the war. Todays scooter clubs welcome all commers including plastic fantastic auto’s. Piaggio (vespa) make a good deal them.

2.) Its for distance communting, the Lambretta isnt the tool for the job. The last bike I had for this was a ZZR1100 so I know what a bike is all about.

3.) That thing will top a 100mph and waste almost any tin box off the lights so the fact that its an ugly plastic japanese scooter that most will think is a 50 will be entertainment enough.

4.) As a scooter it will provide great protectio agianst the weather, nore neven that a fully faired bike and it has a great big storage space under the seat.

5.) I’m to old an decrepid these days, what with my dodgy knee and shoulder to ride a big bike in traffic everyday:laugh_at:

    you young’uns I dont know..

ZZR1100 is a pretty fookin fast bike, friend had a 600 and that was mad enough

    ^^

Twas de-restricted as well, qould top 165mph in 5th !! but the brakes were rubbish despite my best efforts, braided hoses etc. So I got rid of it before it got rid of me. Had an old ZX10 before that and should have held onto it it was a minter and for me a better bike than the ZZR.

Just got back with the burger, so off out again to pick up my little girl from school on it !!

    lol

yeah the brakes were wank on em, suppose back in the ZZR’s hay day, big brake kits were a bit too pricey.

Well its been a few days communting on the burger and I have nothing but praise, its quick enough to see off most tin boxes but not so quick I have to worry about spinning the rear wheel or hitting 100 plus in 2nd (in fact its automatic:wink:). Its doing about 60MPG which is a great deal better than the trusty Landy Disco I have been using to get to work and its taken about 20mins off my commuting time. Its like riding around in an arm chair in comfort terms with its feet forward position and shaped backrest seat.
Granted it doesnt have the same style or head turning appeal as the Lambretta or the comfort of the Disco but all in all its a better commuting tool.

Come on people dont be shy, I’ve been round the block a few times, show us your rideraaa
