I thought a thread containing all style of music about DRUGS, ADDICTION, REPRESSION,… would also show the changes over each generations.
The video clips and lyrics are even often a good prevention way showing the results of excess. :big-joint:

when I finally get round to connecting up all the PA (background music) loudspeakers at work I’m half tempted to schedule that to playing at the medication rounds times :laugh_at: (although this being Britain there are probably going to be some humourless people who might complain about that…)

I dont understand the lyrics if they are about religion also, but I remember that we were listening during the mldday pause in school to a hard rock band “NAZARETH”
without understanding that the lyrics were about religion too until a teacher made the remark to us.

Rainbow Kitten Surprise ? Cocaine Jesus Lyrics | Genius Lyrics
There is a link to the lyrics, it seems to be about praying to a ‘Cocaine Jesus’ aka a coke dealer although I’m not 100% clear on the meaning of the song, which has more allusions and metaphors than a pop song.

I won’t post a particular song, but I’d recommend some trap songs, it’s a spiritual successor to west coast rap. The Clipse or Rick Ross. Check it out!
Thanks, find a good one with Rick Ross
