Piracy also apparently funds the drugs trade – yeah, cos it’s soooooooo difficult to make money out of smack and crack, people just have a ‘take it or leave it’ attitude towards them don’t they?

Fuck knows mate, but that’s the sort of ridiculous bullshit that politicians and their kind like to try and perpetuate. Sadly the daily mail types lap it up and believe every word of it…

Daily Fail readers are bloody morons though, I reckon they still think the Earth is flat and you can fall off the edge of it!

the real double standard is that if you don’t have adblockers and other security measures turned on, a lot of online sites hosting the copyright material have ads running for high speed broadband services run by “legit” US and European corporate companies – no different from a tool company saying “buy these angle grinders, the batteries last longer you can break into more places with them”

I will download old skool tracks if I find them as its near impossible to get the vinyl, I’ve even downloaded ones where I do have the vinyl as its a labourious process transferring them but these days with music being now affordable and not having to buy a whole album or 12″ for just a couple of decent tracks I will buy those.

FFS the whole entertaintment industry was once a way of laundering drugs money in some way or another, if anything the profit decreases caused in piracy along with semi legal RC’s have had a knock on effect and reduced the profitability of the party drugs trade….

Watch this ad claiming that piracy = child labour, gang violence and drug dealers shotting dvds along with kilos of drugs… i love the part where you see the criminal drug gang with massive packages of drugs clearly worth fuck loads and another dude on the other side with a few dvds worth fuck all… yeah crack and heroin just don’t cut it these days, people are moving on to more deadly means of entertainment… pirated dvds FUCK and people thought krokodil was bad :O

Lol what a shitty anti-piracy ad.
GOT BLURAY SNATCH IN, 5ER ON THE DRAW

exactly.. the money gets put back into the economy anyway, they just get pissed off cause the big corporate fatcats don’t get it. It’s not like drugdealers horde all the money they earn and never spend it is it..

also there is an argument that hard drugs are glamourised by celebrity culture, and that celebs with too much money and those working in the entertaintment industries also purchase a lot of these hard drugs.

So surely then if piracy reduces the revenue of this industry, then there is less money for them to spend on hard drugs, and we should therefore more piracy helps fight the war against drugs? :laugh_at:
