no but to all intents and purposes it kind of is, it’s not a toothcomb look at the law, and to be honest if your picking mushrooms to eat there and then, there isn’t going to be a copper there anyway.
id say our freedom to legally eat englands native magic mushrooms is significant, even if you dont have to worry about getting arrested anyway
I’ve just moved down to Southport from Scotland. With mushy season coming up soon, i was wondering if anybody would be willing to share their local liberty cap knowledge.
As this will be my first mushy season in Southport my knowledge of good picking locations is somewhat nonexistent. I don’t mind a little bit of travel, so anywhere within a couple of hours would be cool.
dont know the area but golf courses and playing fields are generally good bets, anywhere where the grass is cut over summer tends to leave lots of rotting debris for mushies to feast on
not sure where southport is but me and a friend had a look around yesterday (not to pick just to look of course) but it seems like the ground is still early and too dry for them round here (london) anyway look in fields with animals cos the manure is good for them like cows sheep rabbits etc they are up in places like wales scotland yorkshire etc but really in the south we need to wait till the temperature is nearer 10 degrees and we have had a real good few days rain so a few weeks yet. one good tip i got is when all the leaves on trees go brown and start dropping then the weather is right have a look on you tube it might help to see the kind of places others go
oh one thing like agent 15 says if you do ever find any flick the heads where you pick them so they drop spores to grow more and another thing people do is cut them instead of pick them so the root stays in the ground because they are becoming more rare each year . barnzy
