I met someone in the forest on Saturday night. Was a bit mangled at the time and have a lovely wee chat. We went to go down to the Liquid stage

i was at the liquid stage a lot on saturday. some really nice psytrance and i generally avoided Origin due to dislike of mud. surprisingly good grub at glade compared to other festivals. is funny all the costumes, did u see the fox hunt? …but um 2 storms and gale force wind throughout with tents getting blown over is not good weather for me, would be so nice in sun and calm… maybe next year…

I was never really a big psytrance fan tbh. Been to a few parties here in Belfast and they were ok. Glade completely changed my mind though. The outdoor stages were amazing and tunes were always banging. Don’t like the mud either. πŸ™ But by Saturday I was already covered so just went for it. Still trying to get all the mud of my clothes.

Food was lovely, not badly priced either. The bars were such a rip off tho. Didn’t see the fox hunt πŸ™

Guess I’m just use to bad weather haha. But yea sun and calm weather would be perfect.

brrr cold, lol, thats probably the other reason i was at liquid so much, trees shelter from rain, wind and then shelter from morning sun πŸ™‚

My mates what went didn’t mention any of this but they are local so perhaps didn’t notice it.

There certainly were storms and wind (NL got even worse, on radioforum.nl some unfortunate folk had a big lightning strike to their studio, it burned out the circuit board on their audio processing kit), but this event was held in East Anglia and you cannot avoid either, even in high summer…

The wind was force 3/4 BTW, takes a bit more before its classed as a gale. if it had got really bad the event would be locked off like the Suffolk Show was. I did even receive the weather map last weekend to check but looked at it and thought “nah, nothing remarkable here” though as someone who moved to this region from SE/London I can understand how it might be a bit of a shock to encounter even normal weather conditions influenced by the North Sea.

Ironically there were complaints in todays local news that the weather forecasters were scaring away visitors from SE England!
