they weren’t exactly being sneaky
even the liberal media were wringing their hands over how the “cannabis culture” ended up going pear shaped
if you are younger and surround yourself with liberal-minded or drug using mates its often easy to forget how many people are still bitterly opposed to any form of drug use..
although I think the psychosis risks are exaggerated what did piss off a lot of non users was how cannabis smokers they knew personally tended to be a bit lazier and less motivated (although not half as bad as they are made out to be), also I suspect “normal” people mistake the nastier aspects of other drugs comedowns (agression, irritability) for cannabis use because some youths will admit to cannabis but not the other drugs they take such as pills/MDMA..
that said I doubt it will make a particularly large difference to availability, the “secrets” on how to grow your own and the equipment are so readily available now
the worst it may do is cause slightly less to be around as easily, but there will still be enough for everyone just as in the 1990s when it was class B and tories were in power..
