  • A relative of mine works in the Emergency Department in a hospital in SE England. As the popularity of cocaine in this country has increased, he fairly regularly sees people presenting to ED with these sorts of symptoms.

I would echo the sentiments of those saying lay off the stuff for a bit. A lot of the emotional effects may also be due though to going to hospital, as however brave we all try to be it can be a scary and emoitionally draining experience, especially if you have ended up there due to an activity which is frowned upon in “conventional society.”

As for what happened to you and others, it is a known medical condition called the “Casey Jones” reaction.

I used to get this a few hours or days after using charlie,
major ‘panic attacks’ where my heart rate would be irregualr and through the roof, thinking I was dying or some how out of my body (depersonalisation)

Then worrying about this would cause even more panic and so the cycle goes on.
eventually the come down out weighed the ‘possitive’ effects so I stopped using and it went away……

    problem answered in my case

maybe the same sort of thing for you

cut out the coke – see how you go –

sometimes drug use does show up irregularities in heart beats etc but they dont always turn out to be problematic

    28th January 2008 8.30pm BBC1

Blur bass player Alex James has described the drugs trade in Colombia as “a relentless trail of death” after a visit there.

Colombia produces of 80% of the world’s cocaine and president Alvaro Uribe invited celebrities who have been publicly linked with the drug to see the damage it has done to the country.

Although he is no longer a user, Alex once said in an autobiography he had spent “a million pounds on champagne and cocaine”.
So he took up the challenge to find out why the situation is so bad and how it impacts local farmers.

    Might make some interesting viewing….

Looks good, i remeber a few years bck they did a series on coke on bbc2 was really intereting there is a company in london called dail a gram apparently they were on there

watched it, another reason why i don’t take the stupid, life ruining, friendship breaking, addictive, country ruining, selfish, white, powdery crap!

so stupid taking stuff like this when u can see how it ruins soo many lives

another reason why i don’t understand how ecstacy, acid, weed, mushrooms can be not legalised when they are not literally ruining a country

pretty much all drugs have fucked up paths which they come from.

terrorism and hashish have links, i believe.

it’s a reason cocaine should perhaps be legalised. but i thought the documentary was shit, alex james did my head in. far too short, not in-depth, blamed cocaine more than the civil war, poor country, twisted government, USA involvment, prohibition… cocaine is the currency of corruption, but not the cause of it.

it painted a picture of “all cocaine users are immoral”

well are drug users immoral, or at least hypocritical, when we use things that kill people?

for example, we boycott nestle cos they harm babies, but would we boycott coke dealers, or other drugs for that matter? double standards a bit innit.

or we could lap it up and blame prohibition not our own contribution to demand.

Shite i missed it got distracted doing something else lol

I ain’t being funny but i use Coke now and then but i ain’t gonna feel guilty when i have my next line. I don’t do enough of it to feel like that. That program was pretty onesided and i thought well fuck them if they think that i’m some sort of c*nt just because i use a bit of bam bam occasionally .

Did you see Alex james face when that dealer racked up on his hotel room table? You blatantly know he wanted a line!! specially when he said it was pure thought his eyes were gonna pop out:weee:

i think it was one sided, and if the president of the country thinks its a prob, then it blatently is, ecstacy and shrooms, are not as extortionate as coke seemed to be, and they are prob made in a tiny lab in east london.

i dunno i just feels its wrong

i didnt see this program, but i did see the series on it last year, which was 4, 1hr programs. The program did show a fair few problems caused by the war on drugs. TBH i dont think its coke that causes the problem, but the prohabition of it. The program was pretty shocking, but only cause it told of how america was dropping poisen from helicopters and planes to kill the coca plants, this then went into the water, which made it poinsenous, which meant people had died after drinking it. Basically if coke was legalised then the whole country would be better off as they make more money from growing coca than any other product.

when the dealers started racking up the lines did you see his eyes and his expression, he well wanted some lol

    lol

there will never be a balanced documentary on drugs on any mainstream British TV channel due to ofcom rules. Putting across drugs in a positive light is forbidden by the Programme Code.

I had a line last night and it was fooking lovely! raaa

Nasty stuff (not that I can talk)

The processing of coke is enough to put me off, mixed with concrete and extracted with petrol… bleurgh

    No ta :you_crazy
