tories reveal they haven’t changed in 25 years anyone else seen the news about the tories planning to penalise single parents?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6285826.stm
it doesn't surprise me at all that despite Cameron trying to be the centre ground man, the whole party are still the same as ever
this policy would mean children of lone parents would be kept in deeper poverty than they already are, effectively punsihed for their parents relationship breakdown :yakk:12

Dance Valley 2007 DANCE VALLEY 2007: The official line-up
Purmerend, 19 April – Of course, we could go completely over the top in this press release and use every superlative in the book. Instead, we prefer to take a somewhat more modest approach and let you be the judge of the Dance Valley 2007 line-up. Still, we do want to mention that surprising and fresh were the guidelines when putting together the programme listed on this year’s poster. Dance Valley will return to its original one-day form on 14 July.
‘Circus’ is the fun-filled theme of this year’s edition. Naturally, since the festival’s premiere in 1995, music has always been the foundation, and programming that features quality combined with diversity continues to take priority 13 years later. This year, a number of new high-profile areas have been added. In keeping with tradition, once again a large number of artists will be making their Dance Valley debut.
In the valley, none other than Paul van Dyk – number one in the world, according to DJ Mag’s Top 100 list – will be headlining what hopefully will be a bright sunny day. The Berlin trance guru will be accompanied on the main stage by a group of musicians playing live, and will share the DJ booth with Ferry Corsten, Erick E., Marcel Woods and Umek vs. Valentino Kanzyani. Dance Valley 2007 will also mark the return of the second outdoor podium. With enough room for 10,000 hard dance fanatics, it’s time to raise the roof in more than one sense in the HQ area. In addition to a number of impressive back-to-back sets, the line-up also features sets by greats including Tom Harding, Yoji Biomehanika and Proteus. True to form, the black giant Carl Cox has invited a group of his best techno friends for the Global area, including several exciting new names. The capital’s Electronation organisation, too, has come up with a sizzling programme that will be music to the ears of every fan of quality underground techno, electro, tech-house and minimal.
One of the standouts among the newcomers to Spaarnwoude is the American superstar Rush, who arguably will be presenting the finest hard techno line-up this year in his Lost in Music with Kne’ Deep area. Mega DJ Marco V. will also be hosting his own tent and his In Charge area will be a meeting place for the best domestic and international DJs. Dutchman DJ Jean, another international star, has also been given his own area. His Madhouse stage promises to turn into just that given the killer, all-Dutch line-up. The American hero Christopher Lawrence is the undisputed king in his native country and has assembled a downright impressive delegation of top DJs for his Continental area, including Blank & Jones, Judge Jules, M.I.K.E., Ian Betts and John ‘00’ Flemming. The guys from England’s trend-setting Defected will be serving up everything a house fan could want, including gigs by our very own Roog and American heavyweights Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez and Sandy Rivera.
The summery Ibiza area will be a star-studded affair with representatives from more or less all of the party island’s clubs that count: Amnesia, DC10, Pacha and El Divino. Amsterdam’s legendary Beat Club will present several pioneers who have personally helped put dance on the map: Pierre, Mr. C, Dimitri, Paul Jay and initiator Per himself. The theatre/chill area will offer a colourful spectrum of street theatre - including interactive shows - which promises lots of surprises for visitors, while the musical accompaniment is bound to add to the festival fun, too. The Red Bull Art-Break area can best be described as a musical Mecca for everyone who loves alternative and urban music and everything that goes with it, such as breakdance and graffiti. And finally, not to be forgotten, there is the Entrance area where five DJs will be working their magic to get everyone pumped up as they are waiting to enter the festival grounds. See you all at the Valley of Dance!

Hi there…
As you may or may not know our license had some conditions placed upon it. We've been working with the local council to clarify what these conditions exactly were. We have finally come to an agreement that we’re all happy with…
One of the question marks on this was the issue of capacity. We have now, as a result, got 1500 more tickets to sell!!
We apologise for not being able to let this particular cat out of the bag earlier as we were never sure whether we would be able to sell the number of tickets we had originally planned.
Tickets are exclusively available from 2pm on Friday, 13th July from G Tickets.
To purchase tickets please follow this link: https://www.gtickets.co.uk/glade-festival/
The amount of emails we've been getting asking for more tickets suggests to us that these will sell out very quickly… So good luck!
Thanks and all the best
The Glade
See you all there :)

UK : SE : Campaign to save Glade Festival 2007 Hello!
This is incredibly important if you all want to go to Glade Festival this year. The time has come to start emailing West Berkshire council in support of Glade. I am going to copy the email i have been sent in here and at this point it would be brilliant if as many people as possible were to write to the email addresses on there.
Thank you!!
Ok Chaps, this is your time to do a bit. Please email Brian Leahy on the first email address below, copy it to the editor at the Newbury. Do your own individual email that covers these points.
bleahy@westberks.gov.uk
editor@newburynews.co.uk
The Festival is a safe event, the safest festival you have ever attended, all the local people you have spoken to and the festival goers all want the festival to happen. It is good news for the local community. West Berkshire is lucky to have the opportunity to host the event and it would be very sad if it didn’t happen. Everyone you have spoken to has said that it was NOT a noise nuisance locally.
Please word this in your own words, do not just copy what I have said.
Please send this onto everyone on your messenger/contact list and ask them ALL to blind copy me in so that I can have an idea of the support we have been able to give.
Please can you start hustling as many letters / emails as possible to brian leahy - now is the time - the more letters we get the more chance we got - it is still very much in the balance right now.
It is definitely always a help to send the letters also to the newspapers. (Newbury Weekly News)
There no standard letter format to follow - in fact if the council think people are just cutting and pasting the same letter they all get discounted - the letters have to be individually written.
However, if the supporters could write in and say that
a) they think the event is a benefit to the people and businesses of the local area and presents no problems with crime for the local area.
b) that they do not believe it is a noise disturbance to the local area - this is a key point and should appear somewhere in each letter if possible.
If they word it in their own way it would be better.
It is also better to keep the letters relatively short and sweet - the main two points are above.
CN : Beijing cops bust street vendor for selling cardboard filled buns.. Aiyaa..
The BBC news footage ends with a very pissed off looking fat Chinese cop storming in to this guys kitchen - I suspect he was probably selling these to the cops on the street as well :laugh_at:
These buns are actually quite tasty when made with more appropriate ingredients..
Vendor caught stuffing cardboard in pork buns
By Alice Gu 2007-7-13
BEIJING authorities yesterday shut down a dim-sum booth that was discovered stuffing its steamed buns with cardboard in an apparent attempt to offset the rising cost of pork.
The booth's owner fled and is wanted for questioning.
The raid came after an investigative TV reporter uncovered the dodgy buns in a kitchen a few days earlier. The kitchen was used to prepare the dumplings for later sale at the streetside booth in Beijing's Chaoyang District.
A video broadcast on Wednesday night on China Central Television Station showed an undercover interview conducted with a hidden camera.
The segment opened with a shot of cardboard piled in a heap between rows of shabby houses.
The camera followed a man, whose face was not shown, into a ramshackle building where steamers were filled with many fluffy white buns, the type traditionally stuffed with minced pork.
The shirtless, shorts-clad man, believed to be the owner, apparently thought the reporter was a wholesale customer for the buns.
When the reporter asked why cardboard filler was being used, the interview subject said it was done to lower costs.
The man and a woman in the house then showed the reporter how the process worked.
Cardboard was soaked in water, and an industrial-use caustic soda, a poisonous chemical, was added. The cardboard lost its normal color, became softer and started to look more like pork.
"Can customers recognize the cardboard?" the reported asked.
The man replied, "Most of them can't, as pork fat is stirred into the concoction to make the stuffing taste more authentic."
When asked the proportion of the raw materials, the man said the mix was 60 percent cardboard to 40 percent pork fat.
About 10 minutes later, steaming servings of the buns appeared on screen. The reporter took a bite.
"This baozi filling is kind of tough. Not much taste," the reporter said. "Do you eat them?"
The man answered, "No."
"Most of my customers are residents in nearby areas," the man said. "It may save me almost 1,000 yuan (US$132) a day."
It was unclear how long the booth had been serving the cardboard-filled dumplings. The kitchen was in nearby Taiyanggong Village, far enough away that customers couldn't discover the true nature of the dumpling ingredients.
Officials with the Zuojiazhuang Industrial and Commercial Administration closed down the kitchen yesterday and began questioning its landlord, according to the Beijing Times report.
Chaoyang District's Industrial and Commercial Administration said it will inspect the district's 58 dim-sum restaurants to make sure similar shortcuts aren't being taken.
Pork prices in 36 major cities across the nation continued to rise last month due to a continuing supply shortage.
Youtube! I would like to ask why there is alot of paranoia going around about revealing rig names and locations of parties that have already happened when all you hav to do is go onto youtube and u can find out who did the party, where it was, and when it happend?
Some one explain?
P.S.
Also why are we worried about all this when all you hav to do is go onto squatjuice and u can find all the info u want?
It seems our efforts to keep info quiet are pointless!
