Edinburgh Free Parties? Any one got any info on parties in Edinburgh this summer? Used to be a frequent visitor to the quarry parties a cpl years ago but moved out the area and just come back and I'm kinda out the loop. Keen to get back into it for some mayhem.
Do the quarry parties still happen? Or are there any other free parties around? Been checking out some of the club nights like Jackhammer, Nuklearpuppy as well as stuff at the Bongo Club but would really prefer to do some proper outdoor raving. Got a number a few weeks ago whilst at Ego about a quarry party but it was rained off and moved to a club, was this a one off event or does this happen frequently?
If anyone knows what the deal is and can give me any info then would be much appreciated, itching to get the raving shoes back on and hit the great outdoors for weekends of pure madness.
Cheers.
Gordon Brown? whats your thoughts about the new PM?
i gotta admit i don't know much about the geezer, but from what i've heard he's more left-wing and has picked a very liberal cabinet, this has gotta be a good thing rite?
who knows, maybe he will revoke some of the "anti-terrorism" laws that are restrictin us and even try and calm the surveillance society somewhat, but i doubt it...
UK : East : Concern over violent crime surge in Suffolk town This town is about 30 miles outside Ipswich.
Me and my mates visit it fairly often to go to Studio 3 (which is a very well run and mostly trouble free venue).
I wouldn't class it as a rough place compared to London or Reading, but other than in Studio 3 I'd be wary to go out on my own at night there (particularly being from an ethnic minority group). If I did I certainly wouldn't casually "talk to strangers" in the street.
I think some got beaten up in that town a few months ago , just because they were from Poland :hopeless:
There is also a worryingly increasingly level of domestic violence (between people known to one another) in this area..
THE mother of a murder victim has voiced her fears over a surge in violent crime in a Suffolk town.
The concern was raised just hours after a 24-year-old man was stabbed in St Andrew's Street North in Bury St Edmunds - the latest in a string of alarming incidents.
Police cordoned off the road and the victim, who is thought to have staggered 50 yards up the street before collapsing, was treated at West Suffolk Hospital before being released last night. Police are questioning two men, aged 23 and 24, in connection with the incident.

UK : East : Drink/Drug driving clampdown in Norfolk area.. Mind how you go..
http://new.edp24.co.uk/content/news/story.aspx?brand=EDPOnline&category=News&tBrand=edponline&tCategory=news&itemid=NOED29%20Jun%202007%2008%3A33%3A35%3A030
Traffic police in Norfolk launched their summer clampdown on drink drivers yesterday - and warned they will also be focusing on young people who take drugs before getting behind the wheel.
In coming weeks, officers will be carrying out increased enforcement action across the county as the longer days and warmer temperature tempts more people to drive under the influence of alcohol.
The focus of the campaign will be a series of adverts on radio stations aimed at young people after road policing specialists noticed more youths ignoring the laws.
PC Michael Edney, casualty reduction officer, said traditionally older people had been most likely to be caught drink-driving but recent indications show young people are becoming complacent.
He said: “It used to be the case that the typical drink-driver was the middle-aged man coming home from the pub and young people tended to be more responsible. But we have seen a change in that profile.
“A lot of it is linked to binge drinking and, while in the past they would never have dreamt of driving, it is becoming more common with a new generation of drivers coming through.
“Also there are some people who would not drink and drive but who would take drugs. The message is that being under the influence of any substance while driving is dangerous and will be taken seriously.”
Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic I have stumbled across an interesting website whilst reading a medical article on psychedelics, i thought i would share it with you guys as i think some of you might find it an interesting read. They have done studies on:
MDMA
MDE
Ayahuasca
DMT
Ibogaine
Ketamine
LSD
LSA
Mescaline
Peyote
Psilocybin
Salvia
Have a look about, they seem to be testing for positive uses for the above stuff. e.g. Ketamine being used to help Heroin addicts.

Stonemason's cathedral surprise
A stonemason who carried out work on a cathedral tower left behind something to be remembered by.
Saul Sheldon says he made a carving of male genitals while working on the west face of Hereford Cathedral tower.
He says it is a stonemasons' tradition to do so and said that anyone looking for it would have to look carefully to find it.
He added he hoped the cathedral authorities would quite like it once they had got over the shock.
He said: "Some people might think it is not appropriate but some people might quite like it.
"I don't know what the cathedral authorities think about it but I think they will quite like it once they get over the shock."
Lottery money
Cathedral spokesman Glyn Morgan said they were not too surprised as they were aware of the craftsman's tradition of leaving little jokey reminders.
"At All Saints' Church in Hereford we have a carving of someone baring their bum to the congregation below.
"It's a long established tradition and it all serves to brighten a mood."
The cathedral has just learnt it has secured a grant of up to £4.2m from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The money will be spent on major works to improve drainage and paths and provide a new seating and educational area.
The cathedral's tower reopened to the public in April after three years of restoration work.

Morphine and nausea my friend mentioned something to me yesterday, he recons that when people are given morphine they can sometimes be given something else along side it, to kill the nausea... does anyone know if this is true? and if so what is it? and if its easily accessable, would it be any good to mix with any other drugs that cause bad nausea, such as mescaline?
