Squat Parties 1994-1995 [yt]JRghDOp_qhA[/yt]

Shot on surveillance camera and edited in '95 with a soundtrack from an old audio cassette - this features a party at a squatted airfield close to where the Brits originally split the atom. It was busted almost immediately.
There's some footage of Desert Storm's rig that they drove down from Glasgow in their all-in-one transit van. Other footage features the nightclub in Featherstone St, Shoreditch which we squatted for months.

As many as 249 revelers, arrested in the rave bust near Pune during the first week of March, have been found positive for the drugs in their final medical report.
However, going by the indications from top police officials, it is unlikely that these young boys and girls will be prosecuted for severe punishment under Narcotics Drugs Psychotropic Substances (NDPS), the act under which they have been booked during the raid on rave party.
On Saturday, the state Forensic Laboratory handed over the medical reports of all the 280 young revelers arrested during the rave bust on the eve of Holi, to rural police. "Out of 280 youngsters, 249 have been found positive of drug.
The percentage of girls found to have been consumed drugs is almost 80 per cent", Supritendent of Police (Pune rural) Vishwas Nagre Patil told the Hindustan Times.
Patil at the same time also indicated that there is provision in the NDPS act 64 (a), youths having done drugs for the first time can be let off after giving warning and sending to rehabilitation center for a brief period. "I will have to see if police have powers to let these youths off after giving warning under NDPS act 64 (a)", said Patil.
The police had arrested 250 young boys and 30 girls including IT professionals, air hostess, and students, from the farmhouse rave party at the foothills of Sinhagad fort near Pune. About 2.5 kgs of ganja, charas, seven bottles of phenyn fine hydrochloride (Californian drop), beer tins, were seized from the party venue.
Most of the revelers had come to attend the party from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Thane, Ahemadabad. These youngsters, mostly from well-to-do families had to spend almost couple of days in the Yerwada central prison following their arrest. The crackdown on rave party had send shockwaves among the society as it was for the first time that such large number youths were arrested in rave bust.
According to the medical reports, the seven main organizers and the seven foreigners including a German DJ Dakshinmurthy are also tested positive during the medical tests.
It was however not clear that how many of these 249 youngsters, have been found for soft drugs or hard contraband items like phenyn fine hydrochloride (Californian drop). Police have already made it clear that those who will be tested negative will be discharged from the case.
Can anyone help towards my research for a film i’m making on travellers? It's the last and final film i'm making for college and i'd love to make it a good one. It's going to be an observational documentary on what it is to be a traveller, from a travellers perspective, hopefully educating people to the truths and myths that shroud the community.
Because it's going to be observational, it should prove to be what's essentially a means of self representation. So basicly, if/when i get the opportunity to film on one of my local sites, it'll be an opportunity for the guys to portray themselves however they want. (so if they've been having trouble with the local ol' dear round the corner who thinks they're loud and dis respectful to the neighbourhood, then it'll be a chance for them to prove her wrong.)
So basicly, as part of my research, i wanted to know whether you guys thought it was a good idea. Whether you think it'll make a difference. Or whether you've got any advice on where i should go from here.
Would be a massive help.
Thankyou my loves

Call to raise the drinking age to 21 What do you say about that
I can't see it would be possible to do,when kids at 11 - 15 are able to get alcohol now,it will not change even if they raise the age to 21..
What need to be changed is people.. People who sells the alcohol to kids from 11 - 15..
But even if they change the age to 50..Kids will still get the alcohol if they want it..
Britain should consider making the legal drinking age 21 as it has "lost the plot" when it comes to regulating alcohol, policy pundits claim.
The UK has one of the worst problems in Europe with a fifth of children aged 11 to 15 drinking at least once a week.
Public Policy Research (PPR), the journal of the IPPR think-tank, says it is time to practice "tough love", such as reviewing the minimum drinking age.
The government said there were already tough measures in place.
Binge culture
But columnist Jasper Gerard argues in PPR: "When it comes to booze, society seems to have lost its senses."
He says current regulations are failing to tackle the growing trend of underage and binge drinking.
By raising the age threshold, he claims: "It is at least possible that those in their early and mid teens will not see drink as something they will soon be allowed to do so therefore they might as well start doing it surreptitiously now."
Alternatively, he proposes getting 18-year-olds to carry smart cards which record how much they have drunk each night and making it an offence to serve more alcohol to anyone under-21 who had already consumed more than three units.

Woman dies after taking ecstasy

A woman has died in Hampshire after taking ecstasy.
Dawn Rennie, 37, of Woodlands Way, Bursledon, died at Southampton General Hospital on Saturday after taking a tablet the previous night.
Police have warned people to be wary of tablets described as round and white with an image of two cherries hanging from two leaves.
A 51-year-old Bursledon man was arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs and has been released on bail.
Detective Inspector Linda Howard said: "These tablets should be treated with extreme caution.
"We are awaiting chemical analysis of the tablets, but people should exercise extreme care."
Found limp
The reverse side of the tablet is plain with a line through the centre.
The woman, who has not been identified, took ecstasy at about 2300 BST on Friday, police said. By 0100 BST she was vomiting.
She was found limp at 0400 and was taken to hospital where she died at 0600 BST.
I'd keep an eye out for similar pills at the moment, especially until they figure out if there was anything dodge in them.

the only religion i know not associated with violence is Buddhism - maybe because it advocates positive thinking rather than social control structures.
Not true, l think every major religion has been caught up in serious fighting. I edited out examples in this post as l don't want to diss anyone's faith. This world sometimes messes people up :( All sorts of people get caught up in terrible wars.
However, to balance remarks that have been flying around: WW1 & WW2, Stalin's purges, Mao's revolution, Vietnam, Korea, the Latin American wars... they were merciless conflicts and nothing to do with religion. I wonder how many people died as a result of these conflicts, compared to how many died from religious conflicts? I have no idea.
* Religions are well-known to feed and clothe the poor.
* Most/all non-religious governments feed and clothe the poor too, with their welfare systems, or at least they strive to.
Whether or not you are religious, this is a good maxim about war: the next worse thing to losing a war is winning one.
One solution to global disharmony:
If you see yourself as a good person, then be kind. If you see yourself as a bad person, then just stick to being polite until some ruffneck does the dirty on you. Badmen can be polite, it doesn't make 'em soft, c.f. Johnny Allen my hero!!!
R.I.P. Johnny, l wish you'd stuck Phil Mitchell's potato head in a vice.
Ruby Allen, l really admire you too.
