I don't understand why he would give up as its still a free event without problems; and there are not many parts of the World where you can get the military to lease you a venue for two weeks for only £600? We'd be celebrating if this was the case in Britain! Doesn't make sense. Although there is a risk of commercialism, surely its not got that bad yet - and surely someone who had pulled off such a good rave would want to do it again? "CzechTek has become a mass event and its atmosphere of a techno music rave has disappeared," Vainer said. It is estimated that some 40,000 people attended the event that started on July 28. The organisers leased the site from the Czech military for 24,225 crowns until tomorrow morning. "The area is almost in the same state as it was before CzechTek started. It can again be fully used for military purposes," Defence Minister Karel Kuehnl said today. Kuehnl said that the area has already been cleaned up. "The rave took place without major incidents. The cooperation with the organisers, police and the medical service worked well," he said. Last year, police dispersed the CzechTek rave near Mlynec, west Bohemia, using water cannons and tear gas, and dozens of people, both ravers and policemen, were injured. - INT : Road traffic collisions now second largest killer of young people worldwide… I didn't realise it had become this bad.. Roads the biggest killer of teens Road traffic accidents, not Aids, cancer or any other disease, are the biggest killer of young people worldwide, experts warn. Nearly 400,000 young people under the age of 25 are killed in road traffic crashes every year. Millions more are injured or disabled. Most occur in low income countries, such as Africa, and are avoidable. The World Health Organization's report comes ahead of the first UN Global Road Safety week beginning next week. Preventable The "Youth and Road Safety" report stresses that the bulk of crashes are predictable and preventable. Many involve children playing on the street, young pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, novice drivers and passengers of public transport. Driving under the influence of alcohol is also a problem. WHO says a number of measures have helped reduce the number of deaths and injuries significantly in high income countries, including the UK. Road traffic crashes are not 'accidents'. We need to challenge the notion that they are unavoidable Dr Margaret Chan, WHO Director-General These include lowering speed limits, cracking down on drink-driving, promoting and enforcing the use of seat-belts, child restraints and motorcycle helmets, as well as creating safe areas for children to play. Dr Etienne Krug, director of the WHO's Department of Injuries and Violence Prevention, said: "Shockingly road traffic crashes are the biggest killer of young people. That's ahead of diarrhoea, malaria, TB and HIV. "We can do something about this." Dr Margaret Chan, WHO Director-General said: "Road traffic crashes are not 'accidents'. We need to challenge the notion that they are unavoidable and make room for a proactive, preventive approach." UK perspective In the UK, 91 people are killed and seriously injured every day on the roads, of whom more than a third is under 25, according to the UK's national road safety charity Brake. It wants the UK government to invest more in road safety and will be launching its manifesto on Monday, demanding urgent action. Jools Townsend, head of education at Brake, said: "It is high time UK and world leaders made making roads safe a top priority." A Department for Transport spokeswoman said: "Britain has made good progress in improving road safety and as a result has some of the safest roads in the world. "However we fully appreciate that even one death or serious injury is one too many." She said areas where further work could continue to improve road safety included young drivers and speeding. "As part of this we have already announced a fundamental review of the education, training and testing procedures currently in place for new or young drivers." - UK : SW : Alcohol/E/painkillers binge kills young woman This is a worrying one, as she clearly wasn't an "addict" in the traditional sense, nor a suicide, especially with the increasing use of pharms such as benzodiazepines and codeine to "come down" after a weekend, this could easily be a weekend's worth for some people! Drink and drugs mix killed woman A young mother died after a day-long binge of drink and drugs. An inquest heard how Sarah Cronin, 22, drank eight pints of lager, three shots of strong spirits, took ecstasy tablets and a large quantity of painkillers. The mother-of-one from Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, was found slumped on the landing of her home. Recording a verdict of death by misadventure, Coroner Anthony Woodburn said he was satisfied that Ms Cronin had not intended to kill herself. "If she had taken these tablets she may not have realised that taking them with alcohol may have caused her harm," Mr Woodburn said. The inquest at Bristol was told the former barmaid had spent the afternoon of 2 October 2006 drinking lager with friends in the Jolly Sailor pub in Hanham, Bristol. She had left the pub briefly to pick up her three-year-old daughter but then returned to continue drinking until she left at about 2100 GMT. She was seen later that evening drinking at another pub in the area before going to the home of her boyfriend, Steven Butcher. Mr Butcher refused to let her in due to an earlier row, but later followed her to her home where the pair spent the night together. He told the court he woke up at about 0400 GMT to find Ms Cronin unconscious on the landing. She had fallen unconscious and suffered a cardiac arrest and paramedics were unable to revive her. Pathologist Dr Hugh White said the toxic level of drugs combined with the large amount of alcohol had lead to Ms Cronin's death. "If you take drugs like this combined with the alcohol you effectively doze off," he said. - has any body tried phensydill i was in bangladesh in 1996 and all the kids were getting high on this cough medicine . i tried it and it was kind of nice really mellow head but it made you feel very confident . i used to buy a 100ml bottle and take about 25ml the other kids took bigger doses it would last for about 5 hours but i took it mostly in the night so i fell a sleep 4-6 hours after taking it. every time i had tea with lots of sugar it used to bring me back up and give a really euporice feeling . sex was really nice on it too everything was enhanced bangladesh is very green and colourfull anyway but that stuff made it more lush. you can sleep on it too. i read the bottle and i noticed it had codiene in it i dont know if that was what gave you the high. i recently stopped doing drugs i only smoke weed now . and i have been looking back at all the drugs i have tried and that cough medicine seems to be one of the best. last time i went to bangladesh thing looked all fucked up all the people are doing heroine its is allover the place and dirt cheap too (ever since we invaded afganistan)

PCP Project is a collective of people who have been going to squat parties and technivals for more than a decade now. - measles advice fuck knows how or when i got em, started out as a headache and sore throat all last week, then the second they went away and i thought 'sweet, i can go out and enjoy the weather' i came over with a rash. wasnt too bad yesterday but proper itchy today :yakk: surely you only get this when your younger like chicken pox?? anyone had em?? how long before i can go enjoy the weather?? knowing the uk its gonna be shite by the time im ok.

- This weekends East Anglia forest party… anyone from here go? This weekend I stayed relatively local and ended up at a houseparty with the Elevation crew after their last night at the Silver Star, but I heard the forest party was good this weekend.
