UK : East : crime drop in Ipswich during December 06 – a sad indictment on society… you might think this is a strange subject line; why am I not happy that crime went down in my town last year? There were 100 less burglaries in December for a start, and a drop in other crimes on the street..
Remember what happened though - 5 prostitutes were murdered, and as part of the investigation town was literally flooded with cops; hundreds of extra bobbies, tens of CCTV cars, nearly every force in the UK was here at one point..
it was Middle Englands dream - you literally could not go down any street in some areas without seeing a police officer, which is what all the "Daily Mail" readers seem to clamour for.
Has society become so dysfunctional that a significant minority of people seem to need a police state to deter them from trying to help themselves to others' property?
the future of dealin and supply just wonderin peoples opinions on this.
do you think with massively improved surveillance and new technology (x-raying through clothes for example) that the cops are eventually gonna win the war on drugs and there will be no drugs on our street anymore?
cos last nite in hull 53 dealers were nicked, and that happens somewhere every other week it seems. scary 1984 surveillance techniques it seems are improvin the coppers chances of bustin the dealers. stuff like x-ray at customs could make smugglin nigh-on impossible!
what ya reckon? i hope not! i'm all for legalisin drugs but that wont happen in the near future, and we still gotta have our mandy an other stuff!

organizers im new to the party scene, and im really confused about how people who host free partys cant ask the permission of the land owner, or know someone whose wiling to have it on their land, or go around the neighbours and apoligise for the party that is happening and make them reassured, instead of them getting pissed off then ringing up the bacon and them coming down hard on everyone. i might be being especially nieve, can someone straighten this out who has more experience than me
peace
What’s your opinion? Found this on a Danish news channel :weee:

Quote:
What is say is:
A 61 year old women have given birth to her first child,a baby girl..
The Danish legislation don't allow women over 45 to be artificially inserminated..
So she went to UK,because there are no law agains it there..
Lot of different oppinions about that in Danmark..
- Some say that she have more life experience than a 19 year old girl
- Some say it's repulsive
- Some say she is selfish and should be ashamed
- Some say Congratulation
What do YOU say ??
Is it morally right to do this..
Or should the law be changed in the UK or Denmark..
Information security (split from international users thread) I must admit that that little rat that pops up in the corner telling me what ISP, what browser etc I was using has really made me start wondering about the other information I have on this machine and how easy it would be for interested parties to obtain it.

Recipe ideas ("magic" Mushrooms) Has anyone got any good recipes for shrooms?
My favourite is the Thai mushroom milkshake.
Take a handfull of fresh mushrooms (the bigger the better), put them in a blender with a pint of cold chocolate milk and a few ice cubes.
Wizz them round for a few minutes and down in one. You won't even taste the foul little things.

Child obesity OMG..Poor kid
He weigh doubble as much as my twins together :crazy_diz:crazy_diz

An obese eight-year-old boy may be taken into care today for the sake of his health.
Connor McCreadie, who is 14 stone, is four times the weight of an average child.
His diet includes curry, burgers, chocolate biscuits, and he has chips with most meals.
The boy's mother Nicola McKeown, 35, insists she has asked for help in persuading him to lose weight.
But social workers say his weight is a form of child abuse.
The youngster is a target for bullies
Miss McKeown will today meet specialists from North Tyneside Council to discuss what steps should be taken before Connor develops health problems.
The schoolboy, from Wallsend, North Tyneside, featured on Tonight with Trevor McDonald exploring childhood obesity.
Film crews from the show followed the youngster's day-to-day life for a month.
Connor has difficulty dressing and washing himself, misses school regularly because of poor health and is a target for bullies.
"People pick on us because of my weight. They call us fat. It makes us feel sick of the nutters always shouting at us," he said.
