Manchester Police enforce music policy in city centre bar If you take a look into the window of the bar on Oxford Street called 'Baracuda', (sort of rounded glass effort), you'll see that they have large posters declaring "THIS IS AN RnB FREE BAR"...
Now that's no problem as far as I'm concerned, but check the reason why they've banned RnB - Manchester Police dictated that they do so, as apparently this kind of music attracts an undesirable 'bling-bling' crowd/vibe which results in violence etc..
Mad!
It's true, the landlady told me. (I was trying to get blag a poster for myself but apparently they "cost a bomb" to print. Hmn.)
New police powers to stop raves BBC News http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/somerset/3808411.stm
Avon and Somerset police are taking advantage of new legislation to help break up illegal gatherings and raves before they happen.
Previously, 100 people had to be gathered in an open space before officers could take action.
The new order gives them powers to break up a crowd of 20 or more people in open or indoor areas.
And anyone who is moved on faces arrest if they try to start up another gathering within 24 hours.
The force is believed to be one of the first in the country to adopt the new legislation under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003.
'Early Action'
Operational planning head, Superintendent Adrian Coombs, said police could now deal with incidents more effectively rather than relying on public order legislation.
"In the past we've had a situation where officers realised they could do little until a rave had been going on for some time, meaning serious disruption to both local people and officers.
"Now officers will have the power to take early action to prevent a rave getting off the ground in the first place," he said.
The new legislation also gives police powers to remove 20 or more people suspected of trespass, which will stop raves in disused warehouses taking place.

How Much Is Too Much? How much is too much? Is eating pills most weekends gonna fuck me up later on in life? I know that obviously it's not doin my brain that much good (feelin that nice can't be doin you any good) but how much will it effect me in later life, say if i eat 2000 pills in my life will i dye 20yrs younger? I have freinds who are 40 an have been eating pills since there early 20's an they seem physically and mentally normal. I'm 19 an have been taking pills for about 2 yrs now most weekends. I will admit that i do feel pretty fuckin rare occasionaly even 2 or 3 days after eating them. Will i ever feel straight again if i stop taking pills? When i say straight i mean how i was before i started.
