The tweets came from a medical cannabis activist group so it may well be patients with existing health problems being "tipped over the edge" but contaminating weed (which was improving in quality) in this manner really makes no sense and just plays into the hands of prohibitionists..

UK : East : Essex dog warden captures escaped pig going through trash bags! Adam McGoldrick was doing his rounds on Slade road, in Holland-on sea, when he saw something moving among the rubbish so went to investigate.
He only caught a brief glimpse of it, originally thinking it was a dog - but on closer inspection it turned out to be a little black pig.
“It was more than a bit of a surprise and I wasn’t sure what to do at first - we often have seagulls or other birds ripping the bags but never a pig,” he said.
“I managed to round him up but had to call back to the office at Weeley for a dog warden to come and collect the pig in his van.”

UK : Northern brain drain? Apparently 310 000 young people who graduate from Universities in the North leave for London and the South. The Grauniad reports aren't 100% about exactly what these folk do for a living once they get there, in reality I suspect they end up working in the same shitty call centres and financial services companies rather than the "vibrant creative industries" the Grauniad and others claim are still found in the capital.
BTW I was born in London and lived there (and also just outside in Reading, SE England) for much of my life; and quite frankly wouldn't want to live there again.
This is one of the articles aimed at the Grauniad readers. Be aware though the two "young lasses" are not that young, they are nearly as old as myself and are writing about long gone "good times" from 1990s/early 00s.
