I think the most recent releases try to install all sorts of crap during the installation process and you have to be very careful about clicking through as you;kk get 2 or more offered crap screens consecutively and they change the button you need to click to reject it, meaning reject on offer 1 is accept for offer 2. Even rejecting everything during installation has no effect on all the crap you need to manually deactive.

Interactions Between DXM and Other Drugs Ok so I had a dry cough (still have it) so I went and just asked the chemist for something which, as expected, ended up being robitussin. Robitussin for dry-coughs contains DXM (dextromethophan hydrobromide) which is psychedelic and many people have used it for that purpose but while I've only been usuing the proper dosages and only taken 2 today, I feel a bit off colour so I had a look to see if it could be down to an interaction with something I use or have used recently.
Firstly stims are a bad idea with DXM which can lead to high blood pressure and worse (strokes, brain hemorrhages....) so this is possibly the cause. While I've taken no amphetamines recently, some phenidates and methiopropamine has been used (4f-MPH today) and I'm inclined to believe this is the root of the problem, so I'll be doing no more of either today.
While researching this I found this page on erowid which lists interactions between most classes of drugs and if you're planning on using DXM I'd strongly recommend reading it.

Microsoft Is Banning Your Stupid And Lazy Password Lets hope they don't do something gumb as they did with the NTLM hashing system that they used on windows XP where passwords of up to 14 characters could be cracked in under 5 minutes using rainbow tables. That shouldn't have been possible but some genius at Microsoft decided to split passwords into 2 chunks with max 7 characters per chunk before hashing them meaning you have 2 hashes to crack but both correspond to very easy to crack passwords (plus they did spome other dumb shit).
