  • right i thought these two pieces of info are really importan. first of all (ihavent checked the net), but tickets for it should come out on the 14th, the day after the court hearing(or what ever its called) at newbury town hall, pm me if ur going :bounce_fl im definantly going. secondly, anyone trying to jump the fence i would advise u not to as security is gonna jump up 10X, if u have no money then definantly try and get in, but all those with money theres a large chance that u prob wont get in(sorry to say it but its prob gonna be true). I think thats all folks, hope to see ya all there

    peace

cheers for the info mate, am skint after i’ve payed for glasto, so i may well be fence-jumpin… hopefully we’ll get in… is security tighter cos of licensing conditions?

loan day on the 16th woop woop woop woop

security will increase?? well … sounds like a challenge …

TVP are cunts, and some ppl from the festival, have to brown nose them or it wont happen. Its sad but true but u gotta respect that, and good luck to anybody who fence jumps, u have my respect, its nice to see u back DA.

the only reason they need security is coz of fence jumpers etc. if people hadnt taken the piss with glastonbury then there wouldnt be a massive fence, and it wouldnt be the shadow of its former self that its become.

if you want glade to stay true to its roots and have minimal intervention from councils etc, gotta play the game. there are plenty of free festies on around britain, but if a promoter descides to run a pay event, i think we should respect that. the more money they have to spend on bands etc the better the show will be, and increased security diverts funds from that.

ive got me money for my ticket ready, i was considering fence jumping for the hell of it, is that sad? …

and great to be back PP, many smiles

in defence of fence-jumpin, here is my reason why i should if i do go:

    What are the age restrictions?

We have a policy of no teenagers at the Glade. The reason for this is because we feel that teenagers can be difficult and often will not be accompanied by an adult. However, with children under 13 that will not be the case. So children 12 and under are very welcome and can come in for free with their parents/guardians. 13-17 are not allowed in at all. 18 and over must have a valid ticket. Anyone who looks in any way that they may be under 18 will be asked for ID and if they do not have or are under 18 (or over 12!) will not be admitted to the festival…

a bit harsh to someone like me really innit? i certainly ain’t gonna be “difficult” and doesn’t rules like this kinda, take somethin away from the vibe of the festival? exclusivity and generalisations aren’t a positive thing for a festival imo… ah well :hopeless:

well, start making yourself look older … do the usual tactics used to get round bouncers etc .. or do what i did and fence run and jump … (doesnt always work though and you have to pay out half the ticket price haha)

right i went to the meeting today and both sides put up a good fight, the police say that they dont have enuf resources and say we should pay, naggy old women dont like the noise, one person said they could hear it in thatcham BULLLLLLSSSSSSHHHHIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!. And the health and safety person said about what would happen in an emergency(everyone got bored at this point), she was against of course. THanks to everyone who came and fought for the right to PARRRTAYY! loadsa ppl for it turned up including acoustic engineers, the director of turbo sound systems, the festival orgasnisers and loadsa ppl in support, i turned up really hungover, and sat through a 4 hour meeting. I hope it works the only worry is the drugs really and the drug dealing. im just glad i dont have to make the decision. sorry for saying tickets were on sale tommorow, cos they arent, the council has adjourned untill wednesday (five days time) to give the decision, then we will know if this loved festival is going to happen.

    peace

it will happen … the last remaining cheerios in the bottom of my mystic spongebob bowl spelled ”Glade” … a sure sign i tell you !

been to all so far .fingers crossed for all involved .

I have lived in thatcham and the glade site is miles away..

There is absolutely no way you could hear any noise from all that distance

What pisses me off is lots of people who live in West Berks aren’t prepared to complain about the weapons of mass destruction that have been built in that area for years and years (that have made them a terrorist/enemy target for decades) yet they moan about a weekend of fun and music…
