apparently the festival is cannot be policed… even though there is no anti-social crime there (or so i’ve heard, and would expect…) – sure theres drug use there, but does it harm anyone? :you_crazy

well the place can be policed= one bobby on the walk/ but it cant be policed so that the police can sucessfully arest drug dealers, and anyone who they see dealing or with drugs. they will make us pay big time if so, and if they put that restriction on, only 2 days to go, im waiting for that text

the police patrol aldermaston over the whole weekend and only go into the festival to tackle situations which actually need police presence. They drive round aldermaston (the local town for nobody that knows) keeping an eye, they dont stop or give any trouble or even move you on …

unlike the actual security …

I expect CID were on site at previous events who are assessing the level of drug use (even if they don’t actually nick that many people) and this is what prompted TVP to put in the objections to the license (they always do this anyway to see if they can recover the policing costs, its the accepted Home Office practice when dealing with festivals and raves)

u go to sent items on the right, then copy and paste what ever u want. is it the letter that says that it is happening, and what they neeed to do to make it happening, forinstance sound checks , work out with the TVP how many officers and donuts to order. cos i found a letter this morning with eight points that the orgasnisers have to do

it was really funny cos in the actually meeting they kept on refering to my letter whitch was basically, ppppppppllllleeeaseeeee let it happen, it keeps me outta trouble and eeevvvveerrryyyyyooonnneee lloooves it. i have a feeling they didnt mean that page tho!
