Not true, heroin often causes pretty bad nausea ans while the pleasantness is there it takes some of the enjoyment away. Would seem strange to not feel better another time when the nausea isn’t there. The effects of the heroin diminsh over time and as tolerance build up though. Stay away from that shit bud, the high potential for addiction is not worth it.

Heroin is probably the most euphoric drug I’ve ever done by a long shot. It’s physically addictive, but not over night. So, what that might suggest is that most that get addicted, didn’t seek addiction, but followed their cravings till one day they had the monkey on there back…look at the far east, old men smoking opium all there lives, if they were to outlaw opium, they would literally kill all there elders, whereas there elders are revered.

I have been addicted to heroin for over a year now. It has taken over my life and my well being along with as you know the serious f’g bad ass withdraw symptoms. The doc just put me on subutex, I was really upset because I thought that she was going to prescribe suboxone. I can be honest with you, I love to get high, the feeling of having energy and not being depressed and anxious was a big hit with me. I needed something to help me out, so I went to the doc. My question is: Who has taken subutex? Is this drug something that can aid me in having that feeling that you get from a heroin high instead of doing the H? I know I have to stop but I just do not want to go back to that horrible feeling of depression and anxiety again. I understand with any drug their is addiction. I just can not stop being an addict just yet.

Help, any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Hey welcome to the forum. Good luck going forward with your recovery mate but expect it to e difficult. What are you wanting here? I’ve been on methadone which is used, as you n doubt know, as replacement but I found it just replaced being high on “of opiuim” with being disappointed on methadone.

Tbh am unsure if you’re attempting to stop by asking how to not stop, or asking for specific things to help you along while you’re on subutex. Any more info?

the only younger people I have been aware of who have taken subutex were doing so in prison; where it was unsurprisingly popular amongst those trying to get away from addictions they had when outside. Some of it was prescribed, although diverted tablets were available there.

This was about 10 years ago – I can’t remember if those folk said it was any “better” than street stuff other than being purer; as most of them didn’t want to be addicted and/or end up back inside anyway. From memory some were put on methadone and the others continued treatment with buphenorphine (sp?) – suboxone (buphenorphine/naxolone) was not prescribed in UK / Europe then.

Anxiety and depression [whether or not related to the addiction] are medical conditions in their own right and should be treated by your healthcare providers at the same time.

I am not a healthcare professional (I do work in the industry but as an IT / electronics technician / engineer) and would not know anyway if your dosage is correct – if you are an outpatient (i.e not confined to a hospital or care home) doctors do have to balance correct dosage with avoiding the risks of hoarding / overdose or diversion and resale.

Is it any good? Well, yeah, its really really nice. Its like a huge warm hug all over your lifes problems. Right up until you get addicted, which will be within the week. It doesnt make you a tramp, if you can afford it then thats just a myth and you can live with addiction for years and years, happily buying an oz a fortnight(oh ye the gram a day buzz wears off quick, double up). You dont have to inject swim never did although smoking it so much does leave you coughing up raw soot…..But, eventually, and you always know it, you do have to stop and that is a fkn nightmare beyond any scope of description. And even when youve done your turkey and think im straight, you get paws. yep, that little reminder what a complete dick you have been which lasts for months and months and even years for some.
Is it any good? Na mate, its the opposite of good.
PS. just one thing i need to tell any of you already captivated, buy lyrica for the wd. seriously there is no comparison to doing it with or without. its nowhere near as bad. just a tip from swim 🙂
