That’s kind of the point of them mate. They’re there, although not exclusively, for individuals like yourself. People who don’t have the confidence to go out and meet people for real. I know we’ve never met but you seem like a real nice guy, you’ll find someone if you tried. As I’m sure your aware most of your loneliness is likely self perpetuated. The longer you isolate yourself from the opposite gender the more you’ll convince yourself there’s no hope.May 28, 2014 at 1:13 am #710380
True, but in the past 10-15 years my general persona has often scared, even repulsed women, I have a habit of saying VERY high brow things, which in this day and age means I pretty much can’t speak at all, so I don’t. I rarely speak at all anymore. Last time I said anything was to some bird in a chip shop and she looked at me like some sort of freak, really chips away at ones self confidence and self esteem.
I used to hide behind the ‘Daria Morgandorffer’ demeanor, say nothing, care for nothing. Only speak when I’ve got something to say, which was normally some sort of put down or very sarcastic/acerbic remark. This all stemmed from getting bullied badly in school, so I put up an ‘iron curtain’, thus making my adult life hell. It’s pretty fuckin’ hard to try to pull down a wall that big and well planted, but I’m getting there, I don’t verbally abuse people with acerbic wit anymore which has made a massive difference in my life. But I still ignore any and all authority to a level it could be called anarchy/treason.
As I’ve typed before, I find the concept of ‘love’ a hard thing to grasp, I understand love for a pet or past time, place or scent, but can’t get my head around LOVE, I guess not having a father figure growing up really didn’t help but that could be avoided. Like I mentioned, the ‘Daria Morgandorffer’ complex is starting to go, but a large part of the ‘iron curtain’ is still standing in me, never having had a girlfriend I can’t say I know how to socialize properly with the opposite sex, either I totally boi it or make such fucktard of myself I have to just leave the situation to go supernova at myself.
Tricky ol’ thing this ‘love’……….May 28, 2014 at 6:34 am #710234

The only relationships I found online ended after a few months (like 2-3 I believe). So based on personal experience I’d have to say no.March 9, 2015 at 2:55 pm #710423
