A lot of girls like being submissive themselves and want the man to remain masculine and ‘powerful’ in the bedroom. I wouldnt like what you are asking for myself, but thats personnal taste.
Does she have any ‘out there’ fantasies? You could offer to compromise and act out one of her fantasies before you have yours ?

That’s a good point, I was going to ask him this myself but you beat me to it.

Well have another talk with her and come back to us with the results. Then we can try and give some more advice 😉
ok, well she says she is still open to the idea, but I need to get her excited for it….so how do I do this???

I think that is something you two need to work out between you really. Don’t take this the wrong way, I’m not implicating you’re ill suited to each other or anything, but I’m starting to sense a bit of lack of communication between you.
Did you ask her if she had any fantasies she wants to pursue? My guess would be that if you can please her in a new way, she’ll be more willing to try satisfying you in a new way. After that, once you’ve broken beyond whatever is your norm at the moment, the floodgates may open for all sorts of new sexual antics.
I did ask her, and she didn’t have any. lol but she was like you need to get me excited to do this. she said she was totally up for it, i just need to get her excited.

Okay. Well maybe you want to try presenting the idea during sex? Not sure why, sleep deprivation mostly, but I’m imagining whenever you’ve brought it up in the past you’ve been watching TV or doing something else mundane.
Sorry I want to just say silly things now; I really need to go to sleep. Insomnia is preventing me from being of much use to you at the moment.
