My theory about GOD is that he is a form of energy and our soul is a part of that energy. The devil is made of all dark matter….I WON’T GO FURTHER CUZ NOBODY GONA UNDERSTAND MY POINT OF VIEW IF I BEGIN TO TALK ABOUT PHYSIC….Now all pv members who may read this gonna say : :you_crazy

Although more commonly associated with Eastern “Oriental” faiths and “New Age” this has parallels with the concept of the Holy Ghost in Catholicism (not sure what Protestants/Anglicans are taught about this)

TBH I can wholly understand why folk who grew up with an Anglican upbringing or under Traditionalist Catholicism have become atheists; worsened by the bad minority of faith leaders worldwide. There’s nowt wrong with “fairy” tales though; many originated from original Germanic (mistakenly called “New Age”) religions (some were co-opted by Christianity; there are also Eastern versions of the same thing). Other than the English versions have been dumbed down a great deal from the often darker themes of the Germanic originals.

I was always told (mostly by Anglicans) God’s country was in Yorkshire, England Although I recently learned Yorkshire is the UK’s capital of amyl nitrite (poppers) production, so they also have no shortage of fairies too :laugh_at:

Catholics believe God is everywhere; and since Vatican II in late 1960s and scientific advances (the Big Bang was first proposed by a Jesuit professor!) the more progressive ones accept there is plenty enough space for other deities to co-exist. Radio Maria NL was recently broadcasting a documentary about similarities between Islam and Catholicism and EWTN Deutschland was showing this film of Catholics chilling out with Jews, Muslims etc (not trying to convert them, just visiting their mosques, synagouges etc).

The Nordic concept of Valhalla is near identical to Purgatory (the concept of which is one of the more rational bits of Christianity)

Jesus and Mary turn up in Islam and many other Eastern religions, and some Catholic and Anglican Masses have the priest facing ad orientem (to the East) rather than versus populum (looking directly at the people); in others he turns towards the East for one bit of it. (which other religious people also pray in this direction?)

That said I am no theology professor or particularly holy; I have neglected my own prayers and attending Mass for many years – this is also because of my own disagreement with the dominance of Traditionalists in my country and the wider Anglosphere and idiots like Ian Duncan Smith being let into the Church); if I do go to Mass it is almost certain to be in NL and/or DE -the churches are way better there and I can remember the Order of Mass better in Dutch or German than in English.

Maybe I might combine this with visiting illiesse if both of us remain healthy enough (bear in mind too I would need to clear CH immigration and EU might not exist by then) it looks less suspicious if I can genuinely show evidence of visiting churches rather than randomly deciding to visit a known drugdealer 1000 km away…

To be fair many respected UK Catholics have recently said that atheists worldwide should be protected as well as prayed for; although having had a vision of Heaven myself I’d rather remain in the better bit of Purgatory (where Illesse is likely to also end up; most likely as a Professor as he is brainy).

So if we pray for tryptameanie and (smoke)mary hopefully they end up the same side of the mountain as us (where the tower blocks are)

That way Illesse would be able to convince the afterlife’s equivalent of BNetzA / Agentschap / Ofcom (both UK and CH have Ofcom) that he is building scientific apparatus to “help the young people receive the Holy Ghost”; and then I can haul two of these into the plant room at the top of those blocks.

We can then use one to keep those upstairs and the older folk in Heaven happy with their Schlager-Musik and religious broadcasts; and the second one to play EDM. Jesus won’t mind provided we play a few Frankie Knuckles tracks 🙂

But this is why trypta and smokemary would need to be the same side of the mountain; as VHF signals don’t go through mountains – otherwise they will have to put up with Terry Wogan and Cilla Black (and the rest all in foreign languages) on a noisy medium frequency radio during their time at work/college :laugh_at:

Ah, am gonna apologize for my tone there GL and iliesse. While I do not see a need for religion in my life, I have no problem with any person of any religion and whatever they believe. That is certainly not my intent to cause any offense to anyone for believing anything, only my point was that everyone regardless of religion(and I will count atheism as a religion here) should just be more tolerant of everyone else…..

Your deep knowledge of what you alk about always impresses me. Jews and Muslims believe the exact same thing, Jews only consider the only testament and don’t believe in jesus, neither do muslims but they do believe in another person existing 900 years after christ (bringing muslims into line with christians) and this is why I have a big problem with people believing only something they want to believe or were brought up to believe, but never consider that what they think might be a bit strange in the minds of others. Really doesn’t matter which party you are in that arguement, it’s the same for everyone…..

NL does count atheism as a religious belief; with the surreal consequence there the capacity for a “religious broacasting for atheists” although many interestingly many Dutch atheists still believe in an afterlife and others simply “aren’t sure about it all” most likely for the reasons mentioned above.

There is utter confusion worldwide about religion, dangerous misinformation preached by some sects and beliefs within religions can vary (moderate Muslims do believe in Jesus and Mary) – although paradoxically it might even be the actions of extremists who are bringing many religious groups together towards peace and unity; this has happened before especially in the years after the Crusades and Reformation.

At least there is plenty of space on those tower blocks and their pirates are smart enough not to cut across one another (or other frequencies) :laugh_at:

it was actualy yourself (when discussing Dantés inferno) who helped me understand what the above picture (taken from the facebook page of the church in Malaysia where my parents were married) actually symbolised; even if I could remember any of my ancient Greek the picture was in too low a resolution to make out any of the text….

Have to say I find it strange when atheists aren’t sure about any sort of afterlife. I certainly can’t argue thre isn’t an afterlife but I find people rejecting religion, being unsure of something that is only ever desribed in religion.

I think you are connecting via a cable TV broadband circuit – these often use “transparent proxy servers” to save bandwidth for the cable company.

But when everything is HTTPS such proxies are likely not to work (as they cannot cache the encrypted data) so have to reload the entire page – so at busy times (the same network is carrying all the telephone calls, and TV broadcasts too) this sort of thing can easily happen.

Quiet exact Jews only consider the only testament and don’t believe in jesus,

Also ALL PROPHETES before Mohamed who is the last prophete for the muslims (Which received GODS “blabla” through Angel Gabriel voice) are recognised by the muslims,

The thorah Sacred book and the Bible are also recognised by the muslims as part of their sacred books, but they say there has been wrong things incorporated inside these books, like Jesus is not the son of God but only a prophete and other things…

For the jews, christians and muslims, ALL are waiting for the Messie which is Jesus who will return on the earth to save the world. For the muslims, the jews will think that Jesus is arrived but the jews will take the Anti-christ for Jesus and the muslims will reconize the real Jesus,(what the muslims thinks about the christians when Jesus comes to save the world, I should make me clever on WIKI…lol

EVEN FOR ME : ALL THESE 3 RELIGIONS ARE CRAP WITH THEIR THORAH BIBLE AND THE MOST SHIT IS CORAN

There might have been prophetes like Abraham, Moses, Jesus maybe Even Mohamed, but with him I mostly think that he wasn’t cuz he was chief of a Tribu and for me this was only politic to make the men sheeps and for accepting those conditions he might have given the women as a gift to be believe in his muslims new religion.

Same for the bible and the thorah , the things have be written in a politic use.

If the prophetes are real the books has been written a couple 100’s years later and it might be some parts correct. And , even the Coran has not be written by Mohamed but many years later from a Calif who took the tolds of thausends companions who had learned a few sentences of WHAT Mohamed had heard …

SO I JUST BELIEVE IN GOD and doesn’t need any books which only leads to wars…

Think he means when you’ve clicked like on a post, you get a dislike option that seems to be easily clicked but very hard to unclick…..
