UK : East : 63 year old rave "organiser" gets ASBO Looks like the magic has run out for someone...
if he gets breached for this he will end up in the can (random fact: Norwich Prison has a special wing for OAPs!!!)
26 May 2007 08:59
A 63-year-old man was made the subject of an interim anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) by Yarmouth magistrates yesterday preventing him from either organising or participating in illegal raves.
The joint application against Christopher Farrow, of Hitchin, was made by North Norfolk District Council and Norfolk police.
The application came in the wake of a rave that took place at Horsey Gap, owned by the National Trust, over the weekend of May 5-7 involving about 1,000 people.
Hilary Nelson, portfolio holder for tourism and with responsibility for community safety for North Norfolk District Council said: “I hope that the decision by the magistrates will send a clear message to all those involved in such activities and make it very clear that they will not be tolerated.”
It comes as police in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex urged local landowners to remain vigilant over the Bank Holiday weekend and report any attempts to enter property by people who may be intent on holding a rave. A full hearing will take place on June 5.

Soundsystems… Alarm your lock up!!!! A neat way to fit a silent alarm which sends you a txt if someone gets into your lock up.
Get one of these motorcycle alarms and wire it to a small 12v battery which is charged by a solar panel.
Mount the alarm on the lock up door so that when it opens, the alarm picks up movement and sends a txt to your mobile.
I seen one fitted to a motorbike but its very easy to use it for other purposes.
Edit - just been reading a bit more on this and it has an alarm trigger input, which allows you to connect a door sensor or even a PIR relay output to it.
Most PIR sensors run off 12 volts anyway, so the relay output will connect straight into the alarm.
All the info here - remember its not just for bikes, these are multi-purpose.

Misreading headlines… dunno if this is because of the nasty cold I have got but I seem to be increasingly misreading headlines on news website, and mixing up the first half of one with the second of the other.
so far I have got
"Egyptian mummy arrested over taxi brawl"
"Man, 24, weds 2 foot killer turtle"
"School breaks out in derelict buildings" (actually if a teacher led the class into some old buildings and they squatted it and put all their artwork/projects up on the wall this wouldn't be a bad idea IMO)
UK : East : Govt has £500,000 to give away to Norfolk youth groups Just saw this on the local news site..
As some of you are just about within the target age range here might be worth taking a look - Of course they probably wouldn't pay you to put on hall parties but maybe you could get some money for an arts/music project or a skate park..
anyway its better this money gets spent on the youth as if it doesn't get used HM Treasury claw it back and it will probably get spent on more surveillance or the war instead..

A seven-figure pot of cash has been dipped into to fund more than 500 projects set up by young people around Norfolk.
But more teenagers need to come forward with schemes - or else £500,000 willl go back to the government unspent.

Eastside this weekend? anything good happened? I ended up staying in and being sensible as I was ill but heard there was a squat party in East Anglia (fair play as I thought it was just outdoor ones here and its a bit cold/wet now!)
usual precautions apply, enough to keep the memories of the weekend alive but nothing feds or journos can use against crews
I love dogs I love dogs I love dogs ^_^.. and houses? =/ yeahhhhh :D:D:D:D
Thought I'd take it the topic off the 'Moderators wanted' thread and start a new one.
I used to work in a dog kennels (for about 2 years).. had to leave to get some more money in to move out.. have no idea where to move though? London was first option... WAAAY too expensive... Brighton was the second, but it's a bit out of the way and I wouldn't be able to get to most of free parties as easy. =[ Maybe Croydon? Norfolk would be a great place but none of my close friends are more interested in living where the alternative club life mostly is etc etc etc.
Anyway, yeah dogs :D:D:D
Someone buy me a french bulldog ^_^!!
