A 17-year-old pregnant Irish girl is appearing in the High Court in Dublin to press for the right to travel to Britain for an abortion.
Miss D was informed last month that her foetus has anencephaly, a condition which means that a large part of the brain and skull is missing.
Babies with anencephaly live a maximum of just three days after birth.
A psychiatrist appointed by the HSE said that the teenager was distraught at the diagnosis, but not suicidal, and therefore did not meet the criteria for being allowed a termination.
Eoghan Fitzsimons told the court that police had responded to a request by the Health Service Executive (HSE) to prevent her leaving the country, saying they could not and would not do so without a court order.
Abortion is illegal in Ireland except where the mother's life is threatened by a medical condition or suicide.
Mr Fitzsimons said it was inhumane to expect the girl to carry the foetus for the full nine months only for it to die.

is it me or…? ...last couple of times i've taken ket at a party the dj's have played this really crazy kind of music. its a bit deep housey, quite slow, but it sounds kind of crinkley, with not much else going on. i've been too muntered to figure out to ask them what they are playing, and i've no idea how to go about looking for it.
i know it sounds like its just the drugs (and it probably is to some extent) but most times i've taken it i've not heard music like this, just the last couple of times.

Colombia hunts underwear robbers Police in Colombia are searching for members of a gang who target women and steal their underwear in public.
A succession of women, mainly young women and students, have been attacked in the western city of Pereira, often at bus stops early in the morning.
The gang has become known across the city as the "knicker robbers". They do not usually hurt their victims, instead demanding only underwear and valuables.
Police in Pereira have described the gang as "sexual maniacs". The attackers often strike as women wait at bus stops between the hours of 0500 and 0700, police said.
On other occasions they wait for their victims to leave work or a university campus later in the day.
Carlos Felipe Cordoba, a spokesman for the governor of Pereira, told Colombian media that police and other local and intelligence groups were working to identify and catch the gang.
Their "inexplicable" conduct, he said, was already being analysed by psychologists and sexual experts

Has anyone ever hosted a rave? I have had this wild idea for a long time to host a rave, I want to rent out a large building (community centre maybe) sell tickets, glow sticks, and water.

Seaside!!! This was a spotr on party!! The location was absolutely amazingly fantasic!!! Saw some seals in the morning which was cool!! Loads of people there great vibe! Community support officers were walking aroung the party for alot of it but was ok they were freindly enough! There was also a camraman there from the local news! We tried to make him feel as welcome as we could he seemed to enjoy himself, always had a big grin on his face.
All around brilliant party!
Shame it was so far away to travel for me though but def worth the treck!!1234
Italians hand out drug testing kits to parents of teenagers

Milan authorities are handing out free urine testing kits to parents of teenagers so they can find out if their children are using illegal drugs. In a part of the northern Italian city controlled by the right-wing National Alliance party, almost 4,000 families will receive a coupon which they can exchange for a kit to test for some of the most widely used drugs including cannabis and cocaine.
"It's a decision I took as a councilor and as a mother," said the head of health in the Milan Zone 6 area, Carla De Albertis. "Because I believe the family ... must be the educative means that can stem the drug abuse phenomenon."
The kits, available free to all parents of children aged between 13 and 16, are similar to pregnancy tests in that they need to be dipped in urine for a few seconds and then give a positive or negative reading for a variety of drugs.
It remains to be seen how teenagers will react when asked by their parents to "just say yes" to a drugs test. "If my mother asked me to take a test like that, I'd hate her for the rest of my life," 16-year-old Marta told La Stampa daily.
"She would instantly become my worst enemy instead of my closest confidante and the person I run to with my problems."
