for those of a pagan disposition – free party in N yorks there's a free party up in north yorkshire, with landowners permission, and a ritual type thing (more my partner's scene, than mine) on the sunday. Its beltane for those that didn't know. maybe i'll get to meet some of you partyvibe folk :group_hug
The party is to be held at Lenthor Farm, Northallerton; where a stone circle is under construction.
Synchronistic Sounds will be playing a chilled set on Saturday 5th May at Lenthor Farm, Northallerton; to get you relaxed, and in the mood for a full-on party, on the night of Sunday 6th May.
DJs confirmed so far are: -
Si Splatt (Cabbage)
Bez 23 (Kulu)
Nanook (Strange Daze)
Flanny (Kulu)
Technodolly (Kulu)
Superboss
There will be no music played during the day on Sunday, as we¹re off to join in the Beltane Ceremony; being held at the Central Henge, Thornborough at
12 noon. Which we hope you will also come along and join in with.
The Positivitea crew wiil be providing noon-alcoholic drinks throughout the weekend; in return for donations.
There is no entrance charge to the party, however, there is a charge of £10 per person for the weekend's camping.
The money raised from camping, will be used to buy more standing stones, for the Sentry Circle. Derek, the farmer, will also be grateful to anyone wishing to lend a hand, with the erection of another stone for the Sentry Circle.

Brunstrom breached human rights
MCN New's wrote:
A solicitor representing the family of Mark Gibney says Chief Constable Richard Brunstrom may have breached his clients’ human rights.
Paul Beck, from Liverpool based solicitors, Quinn Barrow said: “There might be a human rights violation. Photos taken from a crash scene for accident investigation purposes have been exploited.
“These were not publicity photos; Brunstrom had 101 avenues to take if he wanted legitimate photos of accidents to show to the journalists.”
“Would Brunstrom like photographs of his children being shown to journalists? The question doesn’t even need to be answered. However, when it comes to some poor unrepresented Scouse family then it’s fine.
“What goes through the man’s mind? He’s devastated a family.”
More than 1000 MCN readers have already registered to call for Brunstrom's dismissal. If you'd like to add your name to the list, then email mcn.online@emap.com, now, with your full name and address
This bloke is a complete tosser, he was doing a presentation to journalists about safety on the roads (i think it was about motorbikes). He was using pictures of injured or dead riders to put his point of the risks involved with being a biker, he chose to use pictures of a man who was decapitated when he had an accident on his bike. 1 of the pictures he showed was of the helmet the man was wearing on the side of the road with the head still in it and the eye's open.
this was done WITHOUT the go ahead from the mans family.
He does have some very strange view's on matters one or two i agree with but then a majority i dissagree with. I like his views on drugs as they are sensible, but his ideas on road policies are backwards. If he has his way we will not be able to get away with the odd bit of speeding and it will be a big brother style system watching all drivers. :you_crazy
Ah well my rant over.................
Anyone good with web design? If you look at my MySpace profile, (http://www.myspace.com/psyguyuk) I want to have that background on my own site and have the centre scrollable instead of scrolling down and the background image repeating it's self.
So I was dreaming the other night…. (party help) twas a wierd and wonderful dream....
the big monkey was thinking of organising a party for his mates around 100-150 people. the big monkey was looking for some advise here is what he knows
general location- (could i email someone a google earth screenshot for final advice) it is a rural area ie a field.
power- he has access to a range of generators
water- a near-by tap and cattle drinker.
first aid- a mate is well versed in it.
DJ box- made from scaffolding ( you may be able to tell now i am a builder)
a few large steel barels for litter.
also some other safety items 2 fire extinguishers a few torches and a first aid (feel free to add anything i have not thought of.)
no we reach the problem sound and lights:cry:
The big monkey has quite a few 240v flood lights that can be installed for safety.
He is however useless when it comes to sounds and visuals although he does not want a massive concert setup he would like to know what the reader suggests? as the monkey does not want 2 turntables a set of 6x9s and a car battery finnished of with a strobe from argos. :you_crazy
also if the old po-po come knocking what sort of stuff is the head man going to face?
any help is much appreicited and btw everyone here is invited if it goes to plan.
UK : Scot : Subtle Scots humour from Royal Mail…. The royal mail sent us a leaflet at work about special stamp issues (you get them if you buy stamps in bulk on line). One issue is a series of stamps about "Celebrating England", with the usual stuff like St George, the Houses of Parliament, some castles etc...
As is normal, it mentioned that collectors can get a first day cover with a special postmark - and in line with todays devolved UK, you can select an English or Scottish postmark (either from Telford or Edinburgh).
Presumably some person at each of these Royal Mail offices decides what the messages are.
The English postmark message is
"Cry God for Harry! England and St George!" (William Shakespeare)
However the Scottish message is..
"England with all thy faults I love thee still" (William Cowper)
