Plymouth's longest running breakbeat night celebrates its 2nd birthday in June 2006. Plymouth is a city best known for its past as a former rave capital of the UK in the early 1990's, however Magik Bullet has been adressing this situation by bringing some of the best up and coming breakbeat acts the UK has to offer. In the past 2 years acts
such as Control Z, Jnr Hacksaw, High Eight, Transformerman & Far Too Loud have graced the Magik Bullet turntables.
Now firmly established in their home at Tramps in Plymouth, a unique venue tucked away from the hoi poloi of chavs and troublemakers they continue to champion the true sound of the underground and bring back Far Too Loud (Funkatech/Silo/Broke Records) for their 2nd Birthday on June 10th. Support comes from DJ Markutz (DMC Finalist) who will be cutting and scratching his way through the creme of Electro house & Breaks.
Magik Bullet continues to champion local talent with strong links to free party organisations and other local promoters. In the coming months, we look forward to a visit from Future Funk Squad vs High Eight....

so who got sunburnt at strawberry fair? I did! Ouchy! didnt think the sun was that intense! had an amazing day tho! first year i got to really see the fair rather than getting wasted and sitting bythe reggae tent all day! Spent alot of time on my own wandering around checking out all the stalls and music, but was really good as i got to do what i wanted, and most of my mates had passed out by 3pm from too much beer and sun! hope everyone had a wicked time too!:horay:

Tecfest FAO: Ben Saath London, UK Tecfest last weekend
Oh hero! I need help! I'm looking for a Ben I met hitchiking to the Tecfest in Cornwall last weekend who was in the crazy insect van! If anyone knows him or the van! That was one cracking party! Any ideas? Help!
American Raver in London Nope, its not me, I'm still stuck in the godforsaken oven of Arizona. But a couple of my female friends are spending a month in London, and wanted to see if they could meet up with some ravers. They're also traveling to scottland or ireland (I forget which one), and just touring the island. So far they've only met and chilled with people in hostels and coffee shop type things, so the odds of stumbling onto a raver would be quite slim. I told them to check out The End, but they were interested in more of the local undergroundish type events, to see what they're like as I'm sure they're quite different from the ones we have here in the desert. If anyone would be willing to show them around or meet up with them, they'd surely appreciate it! I've got some more info for those interested.
