UK : LDN (SE) : Alert : Sex attacker on buses I've put this on the board as there are a few events on our calendar which are in SE London venues, (as well as people who live in the area) and a chance that people may travel on buses to attend these events.
I make no apology for leaving the cops' details in in this case, this bastard needs to be caught..
unfortunately I can't find the e-fit or that would have gone up on here as well - once any other website shows it I will upload it, otherwise best advice is don't talk to random strangers on buses if you are on your own! (that goes for blokes as well, its the quickest way to get mugged in Londonistan)
may even ring the paper on Monday as their original report has an incorrect area code number for Sapphire..
incidentally if this ever happens to you or your friends, even if you were coming back from a rave and took drugs you can still report it to cops or crimestoppers; they do not judge you for what you have done; keeping quiet lets these scum go free...

Teens groped by bus sex attacker
Mar 3 2006
Ben Ashford
A BRUTAL sex attacker has struck at least three times on the same bus route.
The beast has groped two teenage girls and pounced on a third young woman on board the No 75 route through Lewisham.
When one 17-year-old victim fought back he spat on her, followed her off the bus and punched her in the face in broad daylight.
Police believe the fiend has struck before and say his attacks are becoming increasingly violent.
He has used the same sordid technique each time - cunningly engaging his victims in friendly chat before groping them.
CCTV pictures and an e-fit of a man who cops want to question were released yesterday.
Detective Sergeant Jeff Edwards, from the Met's Operation Sapphire sex crime unit, said: "This man has become increasingly violent during his attacks.
"He has also shown the confidence to commit such crimes on a busy bus in daylight, suggesting he has little concern about being caught.
"I believe there may be other victims out there who have yet to come forward."
The first attack happened on November 10 when the beast befriended a young woman on the No 75, which runs from Lewisham to Croydon, then sexually assaulted her.
On February 4 he boarded the same bus at Lewisham bus depot and chatted to an 18-year-old before groping her.
Later that morning he approached a girl of 17 who got on in Sydenham and attacked her too.
In a chilling escalation of violence, he spat on the girl when she complained and punched her in the face after chasing her into the street.
Cops believe he has since been spotted in the Selhurst area of Croydon.
DS Edwards added: "I would strongly urge anyone who thinks they may have been a victim of this man, or who believes they know his identity, to come forward as soon as possible."
Information on the pervert to Operation Sapphire on 020 8649 1379 (number corrected from original copy) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Securitas blag – I don’t understand it.. a middle aged family man, who has apparently built up his own business through hard work, is described as wealthy and has enough money to own a motor business and a huge farm decides to commit crime.. he doesn't seem to have previously been involved in anything major
He teams up with a load of hard nuts, they stalk another hard working family for months; rough them up and threaten small children with loaded weapons and death in order to steal an unfeasibly large amount of cash = then after all this they leave millions (and lots of other clues) carelessly lying about all around SE London for the cops to find..
they might as well have walked into Belmarsh and asked to be locked up TBH.....
its not even that he was a desparate crack head or other druggie who would need the money and as a used car dealer he must have realised that so much cash would be hard to hide or disperse quickly enough..
is this the real legacy of thatcherite business ethics I wonder?
Can't help but think these people aren't exactly "master criminals" and no better than muggers but with someone elses money.... TBH he seems quite pathetic now; he's fucked up his own life (even if he gets off some way he will have to look over his shoulder), his families lives and the familes of everyone involved, both the bank workers and the people who got caught...
Only Fools and Horses 21st century style I reckon if they did this again for a modern time...
Del boy would be a big time drug dealer and perhaps a pimp (but agonising over the morality of it, being henpecked by dominatrixes and whinging about competition from Eastern Europe)
his robin reliant would have those blue LEDs and UV tubes on it..
Rodney would be a k-head, him, Trigger and the lad in the Two Tone suit (can't remember his name) would be running illegal raves and pirates
They'd have a SE Asian friend who claimed to live with his family but was growing loads of skunk in his flat...
And the first episode would be them all visting Grandad in the OAP wing of Belmarsh because he's blasted a rudeboy who tried to rob them with his old wartime Enfield service revolver!
MY : Sewage-contaminated drinking water in suburban area This is a suburban/semi-rural area of Malaysia (my mum's side of the family are from this region) which is a bit like the Thames Valley, fairly affluent and has grown quickly. A clear example of how privatised utilities, a lack of regulation and unchecked growth can cause environmental and health hazards.....
MAIL HIGHLIGHTS: The stinking truth!
Dennis Chua, Naradzimmah Daim, Sharmila Billot & Malcolm Mejin
KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 3:
THE public was told by Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) that excessive ammonia was the reason for their smelly tap water. And that it was nothing to worry about.
The whole story is now out, and you may be horrified. Discharges from pig and dairy farms, oxidation ponds and palm oil mills caused the ammonia, it was revealed by the Selangor State Government yesterday. This has led to consumer associations, trade unions, residents’ associations and individuals slamming the State Government and Syabas.
The Selangor State Government owned up yesterday that the stink in the water that flowed from taps in the Klang Valley was caused by discharges from pig and dairy farms, oxidation ponds and palm oil mills.
The statement horrified thousands of affected consumers who had been told that the stink, which many said smelled like faeces, was from excessive ammonia content in the water. However, they were not told the source of the ammonia contamination.
Now that it is out of the bag, consumer associations, trade unions, residents’ associations and individuals have slammed the State Government and Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) for “sheer incompetence” in safeguarding their health and well-being.
The Malay Mail continued to receive calls from irate Klang Valley residents yesterday, demanding an apology from the State Government and Syabas.
Many of them demanded that Syabas also compensate them for the smelly water supply, and “not come up with lame excuses” that the incident was unforeseeable.
State Executive Councillor for Infrastructure and Public Works Datuk Abdul Fatah Iskandar’s statement yesterday that effluents from pig farms entered Sungai Selangor and the water supply system horrified consumers (see accompanying story).
They urged the State Government to prosecute farms that discharged animal wastes into rivers.
The irate callers were unanimous in holding the State Government and Syabas directly responsible if anyone falls sick after consuming the smelly water.
A lawyer urged consumers to sue Syabas and the State Department of Environment (DOE) if they fall ill after consuming the smelly water.
A parasitologist urged the authorities to ascertain what exactly was in the smelly water, for if it contained mercury, consumers would be in danger.
The Muslim Consumers’ Association of Malaysia (PPIM) flayed Syabas for its earlier statement that the smell in the water was merely the result of the chemical reaction of ammonia and chlorine.
PPIM said it was gravely concerned that the water had been contaminated with wastes, including pig waste.
The Health Ministry was slammed by the Federation of Malaysian Consumer Associations (Fomca) for its “slow response” in assuring that the smelly water was safe for consumption.
Fomca urged the Health Ministry to have a sense of urgency when the issue at stake was the health and safety of millions of Klang Valley consumers.
