Should I do it? So my roomate and I have been curious about mushrooms and acid. We've never done it before. Actually, I did, kinda. I was at an outdoor music festival and was really drunk and did a hit of it, but didn't really feel anything like described. I felt good I guess, but I can't really recall anything weird or out of the ordinary that one might feel heavily on the influence.
My roomate and I smoke pot (I do more than he does), and I'm very happy wtih that. However, we are thinking about trying either mushrooms or acid. I'm not sure if we should start with one before another to gauge our reactions or what.
My roomate even thought of the possibility of doing one of these drugs this weekend at a Halloween party with a couple of bands playing. I was thinking that that might not be the right environment to do that kind of stuff in (especially for our first times), but I'm not sure.
I'm also a little concerned about both of these. As much as I want to experience the spirituality and awesomeness that I hear people describing from doing these, I'm afraid of having a bad trip. I have indeed had a history of depression, and in the past, would take medication for it. However, since I've been in college, I've felt I haven't needed it as much, and for the first time I'm completely off all medications this year. I mean, I still get stressed and sometimes I get down, but nothing as serious as I used to feel. With that in mind though, I worry that these drugs might summon some of those feelings that I often feel may be deep underneath.
But maybe I have nothing to worry about. I don't know. I thought I'd ask some people with some experience.
Another issue I have is that we currently live in dormitories. There's a somewhat loose "3 strike" rule where if you are caught with alcohol/pot, etc you get in trouble with judicial affairs. Supposedly after your 3rd strike you can be kicked out of the dorms. I have two strikes related to alcohol, and my roomate has one related to alcohol. I'm afraid if we have a bad trip (or perhaps a good one) we may get out of hand or something and the last thing I want is to raise the awareness of the RAs or patrolling police in the midst of a good or bad trip.
So what are your thoughts?

Nitrous Oxide Laws? Ok, I need some information.
Recently a friend of mine has been selling Nitrous Oxide to our mates and at parties. The police have found a few empty canisters lying around and have been trying to find out who's been selling them (there was a front page story in the local paper, we've been asked by the community support officers about the canisters).
He's left for India for two months.
They have some how found out our friend has been selling them, and we were told they they're planning on "making an example of them".
This is quite worrying because I don't want to see them getting fined or locked up.

Cracking Problem OK so recently my Brothers life has changed dramatically....about 2 months ago I had a phonecall from his best mate to say he was intensive care and we needed to get there as soon as poss so me and mr badger and my best mate went to the hospitol to find him hooked up to a ventilator and unconcious...apparently they had found him in the bus station passed out and unable to breath...his heart had stopped as well so he is lucky to be alive....anyhow it turned out he'd overdosed on GB.....next weekend he went to the same night and took more GB...this guy is seriously on self destruct...anyhow about a month ago he rang me at 8 in the morning wanting to find some ket cos he said he'd been up all night smoking crack....next thing i here he's thrown his girlfiend out of the flat they shared for 4 years and said he didnt want to be with her any more....now he's hanging rund with a completely different set of people and smoking crack with them.....last week he quit his job and i phoned him last night to find out if he wanted to come and view a house with me on saturday and he tld me that someone had stolen his car and crashed it....I did not beleive this and later on found out that him and the guy he was working with had gone to get crack after work last week and got high in the car and crashed it then lied to the police. The guy has always been wreckless ever since he started getting in trouble at school and has been violent and in trouble with the cops countless times...usually alcohol related violence...but some how this seems on a completley different level, he's lieing to me, he's been in intensive care for GB, quit his job and now crashed his car and lied about it....im not too close to him for obvious reasons ( I got beat up by him a fair few times and my house broken into and money stolen ) but now he seems to be in a different league of self destruction and trying to hid it...does anyone have any ideas of how to get round this. I've spoken to my mum who says we cant do anything as all we will get is abuse of denial but I cant stand by and watch this go on.....he has 2 kids...

Dating Websites Right a mate of mine has been single for a while now and keeps moaning about it, would it be wrong if i signed up to a dating site as him and tried to sort him out?

I think he sees a dating website as for sad old men and i don't think he would try it because he is embarrassed.
Earplugs! Right pretty much i'm worried i'm fucking my ears up. I mix on my decks most days with the headphones right next to my ears and then stomp infront of massive rigs at the weekends!
I wanna get some earplugs that i will be able to wear whilste mixing and doing other things. I've tried to the cheap foam things and they are a bunch of bollox and make it hard to hear anything at all!
I'm willing to spend a bit on them so any advice much appreciated!
