i thought the law, but will the law win? looking to organise an event like this for a mates birthday but never done it before or even been to one, read a few of the stickys but still have a few questions if people could help it would be appricated
we have a venue, but how do we let people know where and when?
and are facebook/myspace good ways to do it, or would you advise against it?
are we likely to get into trouble from the old bill if they know we are organisig it? or are we only at risk once its kicking off so to speak.

Forest party Hadn't been out for ages (since the party in July which got busted) so was definitely up for this one...
directions were a bit random at first but we got there in the end...
Crew had put a lot of effort into this one, proper marquee/canopy type thing (although thankfully the weather wasn't that bad for October!), loads of decor, stack sounded crisp and (contrary to stereotypes of "Norfolk" raves) there was decent equipment and enough generator power so it stayed working throughout the night, but didn't cause any nuisance outside the target area (even from one track away you couldn't hear it!)
Only 6 bobbies turned up at various times (reducing to two) - there was no trouble and people negotiated a finish time of around 12:00 on Sunday.
This might have seemed a bit early but to be fair the cops kept to their end of the bargain, (and they didn't do any shady stuff like put loads of traffic cops on the roads on the way out and/or try and tug the rig van on the way back)
Site was left pretty much spotless, not one can/bottle/balloon left behind and all the bags taken off site rather than left for the Forestry Commission to deal with..
had an excellent time, and thankfully got a day off work today, I think I have left a lot of my energy/braincells in a layby off the A14..
Thank you to all that came! Cheers all that came down to our party at the canal!

Using a new microscopic analysis technique, they found the level of damage - or DNA fragmentation - in their sperm was more than three times higher than in healthy men.
The concentration of their sperm, its ability to swim quickly and defects in the shape of it were also poor.
The researchers treated 95 of the infertile men with antibiotics and found their DNA sperm damage improved an average of 36% after four months.

North Wales: Chief Constable Richard Brunstrom urges drug legalisation
