worthing ganja cafe busted! the last ganja cafe in worthing has been finally shut down by the wonderful legal system. the most reliable place for my disabled housemate to get the medicine he needs has been closed down by police who clearly knew about it but did nothing for months on end. my theory is that the ganja cafe fell behind on its bribe payments. or maybe the complaints started to make the fuzz look bad. either way, the police blatantly knew about it forages before it was closed. when my mates got busted the cops joked about it, that was in march.
apparently the police set fire to the stairwell while trying to get in and caused loads of smoke, which cant have been nice for the people inside, especially as they knew the building had poor fire exit provision.
a great social hub of worthing will be sorely missed.

Kanna (Sceletium Tortuosum) I am thinking of buying 5 Grams of powder extract but there isn't enough info on it. from what I have read it seems to be safe, does anyone know much aout it?
weird, fucked up dreams after taking pills ive been taking pills for about a year and a half and recently i've been having the most fucked up 'dreams' after taking them.
they always happen the first time i have a proper nights sleep (i.e. not on my m8s sofa). They're always of somesort of ghost or demon (that i cant see) thats sometimes on top of me or im being beamed (not dragged) to some place, my eyes are open (i think) and it happens in my room, everything is so detailed and vivid that i feel as if its actually happeing and i can remember everything (i use the word dream but it really doesn't feel like one). Im usually trying to fight whatever it is and eventually i wake up, but its weird because its as if its just happend and everything looks exactly the same as the 'dream', this usually happens twice in the night and after that (the next day/night) im fine. sometimes after the ghost/demon incident i have the vivid 'dream' experience again, but its ok coz it sometimes of my friends and i feel safe and its actually quite cool, but i just dont know why i always get these fucked up ones of a demon.
anyone have familar experiences and/or know what it could be?

who are your favourite British comedians? who are your favourite British comedians?
some of mine are..
- the Goodies/Willie Rushton/I'm sorry I haven't a clue team (pretty much the same lot)
- Spike Milligan
- Tommy Cooper
- the two Ronnies
- Morecambe and Wise
- Lenny Henry (in the 80s before he got too pretentious, delbert wilkins was top stuff, and the ooookayy bloke whose name I cannot remember)
- Rik Mayall
- Reeves and Mortimer
- Phil Cornwell (Gilbert the Alien, Stella Street)
- Paul Merton
I have a liking of both "alternative" (i.e intellectual/surreal) and visual comedy combined, even with elements of "end of the pier" type humour (probably due to the era I grew up in)....
Thats all I can think of for the moment (at least only half of them are dead/OAPs)12

Loud = busted or quiet = get away with it??? Been wondering this for a while, thought I'd post on here as it seems more sensible than SJ...
What sort of parties do you prefer; (assuming they all stop about 8-9am)
10k+ stacks pounding it out but having to drive for well over an hour to reach the 'ideal' venue and it continuing into the morning.
A much quieter event, still noisy but nowhere near 10k, maybe 2 or something, that is nice and local, within 10-20 minutes of where you live that continues into the morning.
or;
a moderate sized stack 4-10k locally but running the risk of being shut down at anytime due to noise complaints. Might get away with it, might not...
This is in the fair county of Surrey btw where there are a few nice (unused ;)) venues ideal for the smaller stack...

DE : Dog blasts its neighbours with loud music.. http://uk.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUKL1315443220070416
BERLIN (Reuters) - A German dog locked inside a caravan turned on his absent master's radio and left it blasting out music, setting off howls from neighbours and prompting police to cut power to the mobile home.
"The dog seems to have switched on the radio on while sniffing around, and somehow turned it up full blast," said a spokesman for police in the eastern city of Dresden on Friday. "Residents began calling to complain about the noise, so we had to intervene."
Officers cut the power supply to the mobile home after finding the black mongrel locked inside with the music blaring, and left a note for the absent 57-year-old owner.
The man, who was on holiday in the city, later told police he had gone out and never listened to music so loud himself.

Man pulls passenger jet with ears
A Leicester man is hoping to walk into the record books after pulling a passenger jet with his ears.
Manjit Singh from Leicester pulls an eight-ton Jetstream 41 with his ears /PA pics.
Manjit Singh, 57, pulled the aircraft 12ft along the apron at East Midlands Airport, at Castle Donington in Leicestershire, reports the BBC.
He will now send off video footage of the record attempt to be verified by officials at the Guinness World Book of Records.
The Jetstream passenger plane weighed approximately 7.4 tonnes.
Manjit already holds 30 world records, which include pulling a double decker bus with his hair and lifting 85 kg with his ears.
Speaking after the record attempt, he said: "I don't feel too bad, I have a little bit of pain around the ears but I'm ok.
"I feel really, really pleased that I've managed to achieve this and am very grateful to the people who made it possible."
The attempt raised money for his charity Manjit Fitness, which aims to get children living in his native Mahilpur, India involved in sport.
DE : German man and horse sleep in banks cashpoint foyer He was a customer of the bank so they couldn't say neigh to him (sorry)
Horse sleeps in bank foyer
A German tried to sleep off his hangover in a bank foyer accompanied by his horse.
Wolfgang Heinrich, 40, from Wiesenburg, had been riding with his Haflinger horse, Sammy, when he stopped to have a drink with friends.
But when he left the pub he realised he was too drunk to ride all the way home and decided to use his bank card to open up his bank foyer and take himself and Sammy inside to sleep it off.
Heinrich and his horse were found in the early hours of the morning by a fellow customer.
Stephan Hanelt, 36, said: "It was a bit of a shock to find a man and a horse asleep in the foyer of the bank. I rang the police straight away."
Heinrich was let off with a warning and rode home. But bank staff were less than impressed when they arrived and had to clean up after the horse.

A toy leopard left lying in a footpath sparked panic in Xiamen city, China /Lu Feng
The 3ft stuffed toy scared pedestrians and caused a traffic jam in Xiamen city.
A witness told Xiamen Daily: "Dogs were scared and passers-by were running for their lives. Some of them ran into traffic, causing a back-up."
Eventually, police officers arrived with an armed anaesthetist from the local Haicang Zoo.
"After observing for a while, we saw the leopard was stationary, so one of the officers gingerly went ahead and touched it. Then we realised it's a toy," said a police spokesman.

Ananova:
Footballer scores with sheep
A Croat footballer turned up for work to find a flock of sheep waiting for him.
Defender Ivica Supe scored 16 times this season for third division Zagora FC unaware that the club's sponsor, Josko Bralic, a local shepherd, had promised a sheep for every goal scored by a defender.
Supe, 29, said: "It was a surprise, I just don't know where I will keep them. And I am expecting to score more by the end of the season."
A club spokesman said: "We are only a small club, and we could not get anyone else to sponsor us.
"There is no industry in the area, it's only a small village, and we were delighted when Mr Bralic offered to support us with sheep."
An Evening with Robert Fisk (04/07/06) "Fisk has been based in the Middle East as the UK Independent's Middle East correspondent for nearly 30 years. He is widely respected as a tireless reporter who strives to get firsthand information and who brings a sense of fairness, knowledge and history to his reporting. His work is based on a moral framework that views war as the "total failure of the human spirit" and journalists as having a duty to report from the perspective of the victims. In a critical look at foreign involvement and intervention in the Middle East, Robert Fisk will explain that the West has learned little from having supported some of the Middle East's most brutal regimes and ruthless policies in pursuit of geo-political interests. Fisk will tell the story of journalists in war: of their attempts to report the first, impartial drafts of history, to monitor the centers of power, to challenge authority and to battle an increasingly partisan worldwide media in their determination to report the truth."
