BASS FAYRE 2006 – BRIGHTON
After the success of last year’s event, this year’s BASS community ‘Fayre’ will take place on The Level on Saturday the 2nd September 2006 from 11am till 7.30pm. Our aim is to raise awareness to the wider community of the various groups who serve and benefit the local area, many of which are involved in local development and regenerative programmes. This event is also to promote the work of local artists and craftspeople and ethical trade and is supported by Brighton and Hove City Council.
There will be many different attractions on site to engage the visitors’ interest including a kids’ space hosted by Brighton Peace and Environment Centre with circus workshops with a performance from Children’s Music Playhouse. Conservation/environmental/ecological short films and discussions throughout the day courtesy of Schnews, plus EcoArcadia (eco-games), a healing area, dj workshops and Radio Reverb will be hosting and broadcasting from the stand-up cabaret tent. The event will be powered by alternative energy and there will be a cafe on site serving refreshments.

Dream Analysis please :) Ok bit of a weird one (although ive had much worse)
So im in front of a crowd at a massive festival behind the decks with pete tong next to me he says in his annoying monotone voice for me to go up and have a go.but when i gets up there the needles have massive round discs on them and i couldnt see the record let alone play a tune anyway it doesnt go to well i play one track and go to mix into another and all the mixer controls are the opposite way round (left is right up is down etc)so i fucked it and got embarresed and stepped down.
Then i goes and fetches pete a cheese toastie but there was like 10 all joined together in a row.I then goes through his record bag complained cos it was so messy, then came across a load of orange mobile phones and these cards (like top up cards) i say what the fuck are these and he says oh all you do is tap that number into your phone and the phone u put it on gets loads of credit!Bonus i said so i tried it by texting "share" onto this phone he had then all of a sudden it came thru that i had £10 callingcredit!
then the fucking phone rings and its non other than Harold Bishop from neighbours (which i havnt seen since the 90s) he said thanks for topping his phone up as it will be ideal for when his grandkid who is now 3 to use when he gets older.
i then went to get a cheese toastie but fucking tongy had eaten them all he fat tub of lard so i pushed him out the way kicked all his records away got on some hardcore and played a stomping 2 hour set!
ok if you could be bothered to read what does it mean
Ullrich runs out of credit and gets cut off by T-mobile… busted yet again... from T-mobiles own website...
30.06.2006/ In the course of the investigations into the Spanish doping network, new information has been presented to the Bonn-based T-Mobile Team, which strongly contradicts Jan Ullrich's, Oscar Sevilla's and Rudy Pevenage's claims of innocence. The facts now point to contact between the implicated trio and the doctor at the centre of the probe, Eufemiano Fuentes. The sponsors of the cycling team, the mobile communications company T-Mobile, have demanded that the team management suspend, with immediate effect the two implicated athletes and the sporting director.
The team management has complied with this demand and none of the three will take part in the Tour de France. Lorenzo Bernucci (Italy) and Stephan Schreck (Germany) were initially called up as replacements for the two suspended riders in the T-Mobile roster. However, the A.S.O. has decided that there will be no replacements for the riders that have been pulled out. Therefore, the T-Mobile roster will be down to seven riders when the Tour rolls of the ramps in Strasbourg on Saturday.
„Our stance was always unequivocal“, emphasizes Christian Frommert, director of sports communication for T-Mobile International. „If we are presented with evidence, which leads us to doubt the credibility of one or other of our riders, then we act upon it immediately. That is the case now.“ The Bonn-based T-Mobile company believes in the concept of clean cycling, continues Frommert.
Team manager Olaf Ludwig was also deeply disappointed. "We talked to the riders several times and even have their declarations of innocence in written form”. Following the first reports emanating from Spain about the possible involvement of T-Mobile Team riders in the Madrid-based doping scandal, the team management instructed all its athletes to sign a written declaration certifying that they were not involved in the scandal, which everybody did.
"There are clear guidelines arranged with the riders, which leave no room for interpretation. This was also clear to Jan Ullrich, Oscar Sevilla and Rudy Pevenage," says Ludwig. Against this background, the sponsor as well as the team management repeatedly questioned the riders and the sporting director. "At first we had no reason to doubt the riders’ statements. Therefore, we couldn’t make any decision merely based on speculations, rumours and guesses“, says Frommert. This situation has now changed profoundly. "Accordingly, we will now live up to our responsibility towards making cycling a clean sport."

Evil People Hurting and Mugging ravers Harlesden For the past few weeks we have been going to some parties around the welsh harp and off scrubs lane in Harlesden. I have been going to parties in this area put on by various systems for the last 3 years or so. About a month ago or so these group of young guys aged about 14-18 were actively looking for people who were trashed and not able to look after themselves chasing them down the canal beating them up and mugging them.
This has happened week after week, on every occasion there has been an escalation of violence, With more of this horrid group of people turning up.
This Saturday, i thought right will give it one more chance. I was told my one of the organisers that they had been given a hiding and they doubted they would turn up again. They did only this time they were tooled up and had serious violence in mind. They bottled at least 3 people and threw a few of them into the grand union canal. I took this bloke to the hospital at 5:30am Sunday.
I have been so upset all sunday and felt i needed to post a comment on here to see what other peoples opinions are.
I love the freedom that we get at these sort of parties but the scum who occasionally turn up are ruining it for everyone else. Its such a shame as these raves are just down the road from where i live and nearly all the people who turn up are LOVELY. Giving out there drugs and being really helpful and kind. The help that everyone gave to the people who were assaulted really touched me including giving away there dry clothes to people who got thrown in the canal. Its just such a shame i feel i can never go back there again!
I have been to SO MANY FREE parties and i used to be able to tell all my friends that i had never or very rarely seen any sort of violence this has all changed and it makes me really sad. :(
