Over 50 arrested for online ‘sextortion’ Police in the Philippines have arrested over 50 suspected members of online extortion syndicates which allegedly targeted victims from across the world including a
Scottish teenager who took his own life after being blackmailed.
The “sextortion” gangs predominantly exploited men from Britain, America, Australia and Hong Kong by employing women to strike up online conversations with the victims, who would be enticed into exposing themselves in front of webcams or engaging in lewd chats.
The victims would then be told that the material had been recorded and will be uploaded to the Internet and made public if they do not pay a fee. The syndicates are thought to have duped hundreds of victims, collecting thousands of dollars.
But police investigating the extortion in a number of countries including Britain were able to trace the chats from some of the victims computers back to the Philippines. Following a major international operation backed by Interpol, authorities in the country swooped on a number of organised crime gangs over the past two days.
More than 260 desktop and laptop computers, mobile phones, pornographic materials and other pieces of evidence were seized during the raids by 15 police teams, Philippine National Police chief Allan Purisima told a news conference in Manila.
Several of the arrests are believed to be linked to the case of Daniel Perry, a 17-year-old mechanic from Dunfermline in Fife, who died in July last year after falling victim to an alleged “sextortion” attempt.
Daniel believed he was speaking to an American girl but was then told by blackmailers that the conversations had been recorded and would be shared with friends and family if he didn’t pay up.

how to deal with inequality compare to young people (no sex and party in youth)? :( Hi. I'm 27 years old and i never had sex. Its not because of my bad look, but because of my low selfconfidence since high school. Years were flying by and here we are - 27. You will probably say go out and find somebody, but the problem are those thoughts (facts) that are taking all my will to live away.
I can't deal with the facts that i lost 12 years of my live and havent experienced nothing. Not going out into the club with friends in young years and party, no kissing, no sex, no one night stands, relationship.
All things that for most people are normal. Because of that i dont feel competitive to girls that i like and i feel they all are much better then me, on higher level and i'm not good enough for them and all of the people, because i havent alived so much then others, was almost all the time at home and work.
Also this inequality is showing in communication. You simply have nothing to talk about. I also have no friends, so cant go out. And since i don't have nothing to talk about, i cant meet new people (nothing to talk about even on internet).
Its terrible if i go into the shopping center and see in 2 hours hundreds of women with which i would like to have sex and i know i don't have such interesting past as them. Those thoughts are eating me up every single day, all day. I was also at therapist, but didnt help. Also i take antidepressants which have taken at least the panic attacs and crying away, because o those thoughts about sex.
But nothing cant take away the facts, that i'm not on same level as those girls who are having sex since highschool, were on so many parties and so on. For them its normal to have a penis in their hands or mouth, for me this is science fiction and somebody who is 12 years behind in my opinion can never again be same worth as person who alived all those things in normal years (18-24).
Sex is the highest thing in live and if you dont have it you havent lived. Therefor i dont know what to do, because there is no way out to feel the same worth as those people anymore, that have normal sex live since their high school. To be honest, the best would be this life would be over and i could sleep forever, to not have this fact thoughts every day...
The problem is, whatever i would do, nothing can change the facts that i will be then a 22 year old boy who had the same amount sex as average boy in this age? Would an experienced men who had a lot of sex and different women want to trade his situation with me? No! This means i am worth nothing and i cant be on his level anymore.

Joris Voorn is a record producer and Dj from Rotterdam, Netherlands. Raised in a musical family, music naturally became an intrinsic part of Voorn's life from an early age. Electronic music first caught his attention in the mid-90's, and he started DJ'ing in 1997.
After the success of 'Incident', Voorn released his debut cd album called 'Future History' on the Sino label. Encompassing 3 years of ideas and inspiration, the cd contains 20 diverse tracks, a seamless soundscape that represents his arrival as one of the most relevant techno producers of this time.
More recently, Joris has been focusing on collaborative efforts producing remixes for respected and diverse artists such as Robert Babicz, Nic Fanciulli, Slam, Steve Angello, Sebo K and Jerome Sydenham. The 'Dark Flower Magnolia Mix' for Robert Babicz turned out to be another summer anthem in electronic dance music, and was a favourite of DJ's like Sven Vath, Dubfire, Pete Tong and John Digweed among many others.
Having established himself as a leading producer and DJ, Joris will be embarking on a new project called 'A green night'. Inspired by his surroundings, which is never limited to the dancefloor, Joris and his team will be creating a night in several festivals and clubs, exploring the possibilities of combining music and visual arts. Strongest Mushroom experience EVER! Dudes, I tried my highest ever dose of these Amazonian Cubensis that I sometimes "find".
Shit! Nothing like that has ever happened to me on mushrooms before. I got my room all ready cos I knew I would end up there (the people downstairs were straight).
Started to feel the effects quite quickly, empathy, oneness, floatyness and a sudden interest in walls.
I swear, by the time I excused myself, got up to my room, set up my Shpongle playlist and lay down I was almost totally in their grip. Way to many hallucinations to cope with, my eyes kept crying (tears were leaking from them). Sometimes I could recognise the things in the room but mostly not. Then the air itself started to coalesce and look thicker, the more I looked, the more the air was swirling symmetrical patterns which eventually formed into strange entities which completely engulfed and explored me (although I didn't feel violated). When ever they let go of me with one of their (tendrils?) I could feel our molecules pulling apart so it felt sticky like spiders webs.
At times I broke through and wasn't even aware of my own existence. Sometimes I was rolling around delirious, voices were talking to me in many different languages, some that I could understand and some that I couldn't.
Occasionally it was like I popped awake like when you trip over in a dream. This whole experience lasted for several hours.
Once I was a bit more compus mentis I decided to turn the music off, get into bed and watch a film (I watched Antichrist, once of my favourite films of all time). Watching the film was strange (to be honest it always is with that film) but at some points it looked so clear and easy to recognise and other times it looked all deconstructed, alien and spiky.
Very strange fungi outing indeed.
Looking for new friends with similar interests… Hey peeps. I live in Los Angeles and have had my ups and downs in this world throughout the years.
