I Just Found Out – I’m Sadly A Rape Supporter :( This is a handy guide for women who involve themselves with men. He is anti-abortion.
He is pro-”choice” because he believes abortion access will make women more sexually available.
He frames discussions of pornography in terms of “freedom of speech.”
He watches pornography in which women are depicted.
He watches any pornography in which sexual acts are depicted as a struggle for power or domination, regardless of whether women are present.
He characterizes the self-sexualizing behavior of some women, such as wearing make-up or high heels, as evidence of women’s desire to “get” a man.
He tells or laughs at jokes involving women being attacked, sexually “hoodwinked,” or sexually harassed.
He expresses enjoyment of movies/musicals/TV shows/plays in which women are sexually demeaned or presented as sexual objects
He mocks women who complain about sexual attacks, sexual harassment, street cat-calls, media depictions of women, or other forms of sexual objectification.
He supports sexual “liberation” and claims women would have more sex with (more) men if society did not “inhibit” them.
He states or implies that women who do not want to have sex with men are “inhibited,” “prudes,” “stuck-up,” “man-haters,” or psychologically ill.
He argues that certain male behaviors towards women are “cultural” and therefore not legitimate subjects of feminist attention.
He ever subordinates the interests of women in a given population to the interests of the men in that population, or proceeds in discussions as if the interests of the women are the same as the interests of the men.
He promotes religious or philosophical views in which a woman’s physical/psychological/emotional/sexual well-being is subordinated to a man’s.
He describes female anatomy in terms of penetration, or uses terms referencing the supposed “emptiness” of female anatomy when describing women.
He defends the physical abuse of women on the grounds of “consent.”
He defends the sexualization or sexual abuse of minor females on the grounds of “consent” or “willingness.”
He promotes the idea that women as a class are happier or more fulfilled if they have children, or that they “should” have children.
He argues that people (or just “men”) have sexual “needs.”
He discusses the “types” of women he finds sexually appealing and/or attempts to demean women by telling them he does not find them sexually appealing.
He sexually objectifies lesbians or lesbian sexual activity.
He defends these actions by saying that some women also engage in them.
So, let’s see how many women reading this know at least one male over the age of 18 who does not fit this list. Anybody?123

Over 50 arrested for online ‘sextortion’ Police in the Philippines have arrested over 50 suspected members of online extortion syndicates which allegedly targeted victims from across the world including a
Scottish teenager who took his own life after being blackmailed.
The “sextortion” gangs predominantly exploited men from Britain, America, Australia and Hong Kong by employing women to strike up online conversations with the victims, who would be enticed into exposing themselves in front of webcams or engaging in lewd chats.
The victims would then be told that the material had been recorded and will be uploaded to the Internet and made public if they do not pay a fee. The syndicates are thought to have duped hundreds of victims, collecting thousands of dollars.
But police investigating the extortion in a number of countries including Britain were able to trace the chats from some of the victims computers back to the Philippines. Following a major international operation backed by Interpol, authorities in the country swooped on a number of organised crime gangs over the past two days.
More than 260 desktop and laptop computers, mobile phones, pornographic materials and other pieces of evidence were seized during the raids by 15 police teams, Philippine National Police chief Allan Purisima told a news conference in Manila.
Several of the arrests are believed to be linked to the case of Daniel Perry, a 17-year-old mechanic from Dunfermline in Fife, who died in July last year after falling victim to an alleged “sextortion” attempt.
Daniel believed he was speaking to an American girl but was then told by blackmailers that the conversations had been recorded and would be shared with friends and family if he didn’t pay up.

Violence / Hate / Gender crimes – Getting Worse and can we stop it? just read that shocking report from the North of England, where 4 young people drove out to a remote part of Sheffield, an argument ensued, a pistol was drawn and a young couple is now dead from gunshot wounds. None of the people involved were older than 20 and the youngest is 16 - two lives ended, another two people traumatised.
I constantly see reports of nasty assaults, racist attacks, even the fireside chats at raves (particularly from young girls) are often about failed relationships which have ended in physical violence :( some of the posts I see on this board are also really harrowing. I used to think domestic violence was something old codgers did - now it seems teenagers are bad if not worse!
I also see a lot of posts and hear banter at raves which indicates that people today now think misogyny and racism are not only OK, but that violence of all kinds is an acceptable way to solve things.
I grew up in the early 80s before "political correctness"; and I think that society is worse than those days, there has been such a backlash against equality that society has moved backwards! Its not even the odd saucy joke (hell, I used to watch Benny Hill and find it funny!) but a real anger and hatred hidden behind the humour - a determination to "put certain groups back in their place"
Violence is increasing throughout our community; loads of my friends have been involved in actual fights, sometimes with each other! I was myself involved in a (minor) scuffle with a friend in 2003 which was the first time I had been involved in anything like that for 15 years
Thankfully another friend broke it up, but he has himself since had a nervous breakdown and himself had violent outbursts against his own flatmates, triggered in part by situations where he was increasingly using physical force to get his way.
Other friends of mine have been involved in scuffles; none of us are thugs so nothing major happened but it does affect the friendship, there is always a lingering mistrust and wariness and that will never go away.
A lot of the relationships friends have been involved in are breaking up now, sometimes very acrimoniously.
I've heard things about people I know I'd never have thought they were capable of, a very nasty incident happened amongst a couple I know recently which has destroyed so many positive things they were both trying to do and is causing friction amongst others - (a lot of the time domestic violence goes way further than a couple as each partners friends take sides)
Even at raves there has been bare ruckus - I don't even mean the known violence at "London raves" but the idyllic outdoor surroundings; people are bringing old scores and beef to these events and fighting it out on the dancefloor, there is also a predatory attitude towards girls that wasnt there as much in the mid 90s.
Girls have had drinks spiked at house parties, girls in k-holes have been molested; any young female at some raves is constantly harrassed (including on-line harrasment), I've even had to warn my younger sister away from parties as they weren't safe (and I don't want to do time in HMP or Broadmoor because I deal myself with someone harrasing her!)
And when bad things happen in many cases cops, doctors, press, families and parents are all get involved and our scene is getting a bad name.
I used to think that this was just an "outside society" problem; and it wasn't that prevalent on the rave scene - but I was just being hopelessly over-optimistic and naive. It appears to be worse than wider society; I know people in "conventional" society, even those who are highly religious and bound by strict cultural rules who are coming across as more tolerant and less aggressive than so called "ravers/hippies"!
(some of the stereotypes about gender roles in British Asian communities are complete rubbish - they turn out to be some of the most committed people to equality I have ever met!)
On our scene there is a real problem with "midweek aggression" - I've seen it loads amongst people I know particularly couples and communities in shared houses (its broken up many a squat) and it goes as far as actual agression against strangers including road rage (including hit and run RTCs where the driver clearly doesn't care if he/she has injured/killed somebody!) - people are simply using anyone close to them as a punchbag on comedowns. the ends of large outdoor raves have a distinct "lord of the flies" mentality about them sometimes....
We claim our scene and lifestyles (hedonism, drug use, re-use via hijacking of others resources) should be tolerated because we are an open minded, tolerant and loving community (all that PLUR malarkey) - yet a proportion of party people (although by no means all) are doing exactly the opposite. This divides us and saps our power far worse than any "babylon system" ever can - and needs to stop before it stops our community.

The Anti Rape Condom "A South African inventor has unveiled a new anti-rape female condom that hooks onto an attacker's penis and aims to cut one of the highest rates of sexual assault in the world.
"Nothing has ever been done to help a woman so that she does not get raped and I thought it was high time," Sonette Ehlers, 57, said of the "rapex", a device worn like a tampon that has sparked controversy in a country used to daily reports of violent crime.
Police statistics show more than 50,000 rapes are reported every year, while experts say the real figure could be four times that as they say most rapes of acquaintances or children are never reported.
Ehlers said the "rapex" hooks onto the rapist's skin, allowing the victim time to escape and helping to identify perpetrators.
"He will obviously be too preoccupied at this stage," she told reporters in Kleinmond, a small holiday village about 100 kilometres east of Cape Town. "I promise you he is going to be too sore. He will go straight to hospital."
The device, made of latex and held firm by shafts of sharp barbs, can only be removed from the man through surgery which will alert hospital staff, and ultimately, the police, she said.
It also reduces the chances of a woman falling pregnant or contracting AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases from the attacker by acting in the same way as a female condom.
South Africa has more people with HIV/AIDS than any other country, with one in nine of its 45 million population infected.
Ehlers, who showed off a prototype on Wednesday, said women had tried it for comfort and it had been tested on a plastic male model but not yet on a live man. Production was planned to start next year.
But the "rapex" has raised fears amongst anti-rape activists that it could escalate violence against women.
"If a victim is wearing such a device it may enrage the attacker further and possibly result in more harm being caused," said Sam Waterhouse, advocacy co-ordinator for Rape Crisis.
Other critics say the condom is medieval and barbaric - an accusation Ehlers says should be directed rather at the act of rape.
"This is not about vengeance ... but the deed, that is what I hate," she said."

Doctor groups make huge donations tomany politicians in order to get special treatment and make it easier tocommit fraud. The US Senator just passed a bill to make it easier fordoctors to get paid on questionable procedures. To single out onedoctor or one politician seems absurd when basically thousands of doctorsand dozens of senators participate in this practice every day. Medicare fraud is the norm and politicians are happy to look away as longas they get financial support from the medical community. We are glad tosee someone get indicted but this does not fix the problem when senatorsand criminals work together.

UK : LDN : London clubs and universities sign pledge against sexual harrasment Seems like a good idea, but the only reason the clubs were allowed to allow this situation to worsen was because London is dependent on the money they bring in, in less dependent areas such as Suffolk the venues would long ago have had their licenses taken away or the fees put up higher..
For the uni students its also been exacerbated by universities distancing themselves from the social aspect (my current local uni, UCS closed down its SU bar a few years ago) - in the late 90s / 2000s a student union venue was the sort of place even the security staff would work constructively with punters and cops to prevent these incidents, as they were often themselves students (you can go to uni to study event management and various forms of security work)
