the speakers thread made me think of old days, and looking back at it although TVP did give OOOPS and J10 a fair bit of grief over the years, in hindsight it wasn’t just them being killjoys
a lot of it it was definitely because they noticed how youths started off on party drugs, got on the brown and started robbing/thieving and generally making life difficult for others at least as themselves. Lots of us know people like that, even if they were just “hangers on” the party scene and alternative lifestyles as a whole have been judged by their actions.
Even as I type this there are probably angry eyes on screens and cynical hands on mouses at one or more Police stations (or even the offices of consultants) looking on here, SJ, DSI, bebo as part of their intelligence gathering for “where the weekends raves are”.
threads like this won’t make them any happier, but at least they may think “well its not as if we aren’t trying to sort out the problems what we have inadvertantly created when we built up Britains rave culture..”
