Spirit and Sleepless Free Party
Hello Everyone,
Just a reminder that Spirit and Sleepless are throwing a free party this Saturday, 23rd June, at The Viaduct, which is on the corner of Parry Street and South Lambeth Place, Vauxhall, London SW8. Doors open at 10pm and the party rocks until 6am. DJ's include myself, Ian Betts, Steve Hitch and Steve Bell. The music is Uplifting Euphoric House from start to finish. Free membership is available to both Sleepless and Spirit, so for a quality night out, on the mega-cheap, make sure you get down there.
As we have not had time to do a mail out for this party, we would appreciate you spreading the word about this Free Party, either by forwarding this mail to your friends, colleagues and mailing lists, and by telling everyone you bump into. You cannot beat word of mouth can you.

The Solstice Experiment
The Solstice Experiment - June20th - All night 8pm-9am
A unique collaboration between English Heritage (our govenment) & the community at large. A brave experiment in healing the past, & embracing our future
After the ground breaking gathering at Stonehenge Solstice experiment 2000,English Heritage have agreed to allow full access for all to the stones again this year from 8pm on the night of the 20th June till 9am on the morning of the 21st
This open access has been gained through years of delicate painstaking negotiations between English Heritage and interested parties in the community, we believe that there is a sincere desire for this free and open access to all to continue and grow, but it is dependent on us to keep to the agreements that have been made (see terms of access) and to leave promptly without fuss at 9am.
**IMPORTANT INFO **
This managed access is anacoustic event, sound systems will be confiscated if any attempt is made to setup. Contrary to the rumours that have been circulating, there is NO LEGAL PARTY that has been sanctioned by the authorities.
Both Wiltshire and Hampshire police have stated that there will be zero tolerance towards any attempt to setup an illegal party in either county. Please accept this situation so that we can continue with the journey toward more and more access to the stones.
Dogs will not be allowed in the area of the stones
You are invited and encouraged to bring acoustic instruments and creative toys
and projects toshare with the gathering. Bring warm and waterproof clothing. There will be food stands vegetarian and otherwise
The actual solstice is around 8:30am on the 21st, the dawn around 4:00am.
Last year about 8000 of us danced and rejoiced all night in torrential rain, we were self policed and it took only 40 police to be present throughout the gathering, and they mostly stood by and watched - this was a tremendous step forward considering the history of this gathering - years of riot
police and prohibition.

Logic@ The Fridge
Just wanted to say i had a top night at the Fridge last at a club event called Logic. Top visual displays and effects ,WICKED ATMOSPHERE!!! full of lots a cheesy ravers in dayglow stuff which was noval to see again , they were evn using Vicks still. Hey thought i was in a time warp know what i mean!!!The only down side was the cost. Although itswas on till 8am it cost £12 and bottles of water were a dehydrated staggering £2.50, forget the alcohol the was way too!!!much. But if you got a bit of cash to spare its worth a look at.Anyway thats all.Love and respect to allxx

Gap/Nike
Ok so you have just been asleep in a marked out space in a dormintory with no health and safety aspects or lighting and now you are off to work for 16 hours for probaly less than 3p an hour and you arent allowed to smile or talk, you couyld recieve physical punishment if you do. No union can be formed to give you any rights and if you refuse to do any overtime without extra pay you will be punished. And if you get pregnant well forget you got no chance. These are some of the conditions in factories in the far east like in China or the Philipines where GAP and Nike products are made.
Do you think your fellow human beings should be treated like this?
STOP BUYING NIKE AND GAP PRODUCTS, because now you know how and where they were made, in these sickening conditions. Nike sucks and as for the Gap they are a very evil company, these two corporations arent the only ones either.
So think before you buy!

This is the local Brighton rag who are now trying to mobilise the locals against raves since the weekend troubles.
The police car damage was not caused by genuine party people, rather it was a bunch of local scallies who come from nearby estates.

Teknival
After travelling for ages this weekend to the 'teknival' festival and seeing it get cancelled by the police i was staggered to see just how many people turned up.Our scene isnt dying far from it!!!it lives on and if we are to postpone the 'teknival' till later in order to look at how we get the party off the ground without the police finding out then so be it.We will suceed!!if we have to move to more remote areas then so be it, why do u think Wales has so much sucess????or the north like the cumbria, lancashire, or Yorkshire.We need to think of more cunning plans.So every one dont give up ever!! never give up on something you believe in ,ever!!!and never doubt yourselves.Feel free to reply to me

TEKNO TROUBLE
Last weekend, the hottest of the year, saw the party posse out in full
effect with the Hardcore Conspiracy Teknival. Late last summer there was a
massive Teknival involving 6000 people in Kingston, Surrey, leaving the
cops none too chuffed, so they didn't want to get caught with their pants
down again.
Panik, United Systems, Underground Sound, Skirmish, Random Sound, Headfuk,
Negusa Negast and other assorted rigs were out entertaining the kids all
over the South East. Unfortunately our old sparring partners, the cops,
were also out, trying as ever, to spoil the fun. The wacky races started
on the Friday night near the Hampshire/Surrey border with an attempted
party on old M.O.D. land. This was evicted under the Criminal Justice Act
on Saturday morning but the sound system was allowed to leave and the free
party people moved onto Guildford, where they tried to set up but again
the forces of darkness put a stop to it. The next place people went to was
a few miles up the road, near Cobham where about 500 danced until about
midnight. This time about 150 tooled up riot cops complete with
helicopters and dog units gatecrashed, with one woman beaten unconscious
and needing hospital treatment. On the way out all of the systems were
confiscated and so people headed towards the coast. But as ever the sound
crews are still up for it telling SchNEWS "The struggle continues. They
will never kill the music. Expect us back soon."
Meanwhile down in sunny Brighton two big parties were also taking place
put on by local sound systems. One was on a legal traveller site and
because of the numbers living there already, ie. the travellers, the
cops left it alone and the party continued for two nights. The other was
at Woodingdean, where up to 1000 people were enjoying a pleasant night on
the South Downs. The cops, who didn't even hear about the party till about
4am left two cars on the track leading up to the site. However, they
hadn't been paying attention to their own adverts telling people to lock
up their valuables and left their car doors unlocked. Unfortunately one of
the hand brakes mysteriously released itself and the car slid down into a
ditch, while theother flipped itself over and ended up on its roof in the
same ditch. The cops weren't best pleased with this and came on to site at
about 10am when most people had left and nicked the sound system, the
owner, his van and his records.

needed to bring a prosecution against the police for their violent

the census
As some of you may know there is a UK wide census coming around very soon...
Interestingly, if instead of binning the thing, enough people were to put down a religion that isn't mentioned on the census form then that "new" religion would become fully recognised and legal...
Even more interestingly, it only takes about 10,000 people to nominate the same religion in order for it to achieve this new status.. and today, unlike at the time of the last census, we're all on the internet...
So what to do about it?
Anyone who does not have a dominant religion is being asked to put "Jedi" as their religion in the appropriate box on the census form.
Once recognised as a genuine religion, it will, of course, be time to nominate certain prehistoric sites as places of "Jedi" worship (and perhaps somewhat less prehistoric clubs and pubs too?!) any persecution of "Jedi" members - for attending these sites - will then be instances of Religious persecution, the closure of "Jedi" pubs will be frowned upon, live "Jedi" music will have to be permitted, and so on......
Send this on to all your contacts and suggest they do the same...
REMEMBER:: On the Census form, in the religion box, you're a Jedi
